What's the rain situation or prediction for the race tomorrow? Maybe that will bring some excitement.

As much as I enjoy him racing, I wouldn't mind him having a clean and less stressful weekend. Surely his luck has to change, Rosberg must be laughing inside. It's one thing after another. The championship battle could be over by Japan or USA if the problems continue.

Not sure tbh. It should be an interesting race either way though.

Well... If Hamilton does somehow manage to take the title, he'll be doing it kicking and screaming. :)

If Rosberg wins tomorrow and Hamilton doesn't score big points then I think it will be too difficult to win it.

Yes it should... Rosberg says he will be playing it safe for the race, I think he better watch out for Vettel, Ricciardo and Bottas, I don't think they will give him any space at the first corner. That should be interesting as Vettel will also want to keep ahead of his team mate too.

It will certainly be a mountain to climb, but you just never know. Especially with the ridiculous double points last race.

To beat Rosberg, they're probably going to have to hope for a lousy start on his part.

I believe after this race the points difference will be back to more than a race win so it will be very difficult to crawl back without a Rosberg DNF or two which seems less likely than another Hamilton DNF. I don't think he would have mind if he got the car failures in FP1 or even fp2. Lol.... He did everything right this weekend only to get that disappointment. Well... It could have been in the race so I guess he still has to be thankful.

The Williams car is usually very quick off the blocks, if he jumps Rosberg then backs him up Vettel will try to take advantage, but they wouldn't be able to do that for very long anyway. But the start will be very interesting indeed.

It's a fairly tight track. If the Williams got ahead, it might just be able to hold off the Merc on the drag down the straight during the race.

Maybe I am posting in the wrong section but isn't this a bit of balony? I know they want more excitement and all that but why not let the manufacturers develop the cars and engines in season instead of the artificial crap.

Formula 1 bosses met on Saturday morning in Hungary to discuss more ideas to increase the sporting spectacle and draw more fans to the sport.
It comes after crowds at the German Grand Prix last weekend were relatively sparse compared to previous seasons, whilst TV audiences have also tumbled in several key markets.
Team principals met with Bernie Ecclestone to suggest and discuss ideas which could reverse the decline.
One idea which gained support was the idea of 'success ballast'. It is something that is used in Touring Car racing such as DTM, BTCC and the WTCC.
The proposal is to add a certain amount of ballast to the winners car, say around 20kg, reducing that to 18kg for second, 15kg for third and so on.
Whilst the details have yet to be discussed and at this stage it is simply a proposal, it's believed the top ten would carry some form of ballast, leaving the remaining cars ballast-free.
It would penalise a winner at the next event and, it's believed, level the playing field to increase the amount of on-track action as a dominant car would be at a weight disadvantage compared to its rivals.
It isn't clear if the idea will get the go-ahead or how fans will react.

They should do the same in athletics too, you know.... Just to spice it up.

Yes, the sport has problems, but it needs to be looking to long-term solutions, not this crap.

To stop Rosberg it will take both Williams and red bull to be ahead.... It would be difficult to overtake Vettel and passing Bottas on the straights ...well Williams are quite fast in a straight line..I think they are the fastest in the speed traps most times.

Could you see teams refusing to take race wins so as not to get the extra 20kgs on their cars for the next race? Lol

not really surprised to see another Hamilton car failure, i think it snowballs from one one poor quali or failure, and then you have him multiple seconds a lap faster than everybody including his team mate and probably taping the overtake button down so he doesn't have to press it all the time. If the car was capable of doing that it would just be the standard engine mode. Expecting another failure at the next race as they'll really have to push the engine to get him up the field here. I think his side of the garage need to be a little more sensible and show a little more control, as problems are effecting multiple races in a row now.

It's not just having dominant teams that's killing the sport, it's the sport as a whole that has problems.

Tracks get neutered, gravel traps are replaced by asphalt runoff, new tracks are featurless and dull and going to places that really have no particular interest in motorsport, fans are being priced out of the sport even for TV veiwing, defending has been all but outlawed, overtaking is mostly artificial, any danger has been all but removed (yes, It's good that it's safe but danger is part of what makes racing exciting), the money isn't going to the teams that need it... the list of problems goes on and on.....

I think he's saying that Hamilton's side of the garage need to pull their fingers out.
