He always did his best playing for us .Some young men do and say silly things at times . And then you get players troy ,When his move goes though he will be set up for life but upto now he has payed respect to the club
Did Demerit demand to leave? - sure your not getting confused with somebody else as Jsybarry suggests? Just thought he was out of contract and Boothroyd let him go.
I think he just let his contract run out, certainly don't recollect any 'demands to go'. It took a while for him to find another club - around six months - and at the time I was wondering if his eye injury had not healed properly & was causing sight problems.
my eldest love him to bits and would always have his name on her shirt. so when we got regulated and it was quoted in the not always accurate press that "he would go to any pre club" she never wanted to have a name on her shirt again . Now I know that people get miss quoted and papers make up stories . but back then the wo would print a retraction for players and there was none printed .
