Who are these R's people on the video chat watching this stream? I sincerely hope it's none of our lot? "id spend 22 minutes massaging ale faurlins buttocks/lower back because i love him so much" "id suck a fart out of ale's arse" "will how about you go shove a cactus up your ****ing arse , who the **** are you to say our team is ****" "will youre a ****ing tard youre literally going into a qpr stream and insulting the tream , how ****ing ******ed do you have to be to do that , sad ****" "**** you onuoha is a beast" "because i have money on the game and qpr fans are ****ers" "can we keep the language clean please? and just focus on the fact that I love Faurlin so much that I want to shave his leg hair and wear it as a wig" "id suck faurlins cock if he asked me to"
Point taken on fitness Grif but with 3 weeks til the season starts we look poor again and still haven't secured the 5 or 6 players we need. There won't be much gelling will there? Why are we always like this?
Now I'd be interested to hear someone put a positive spin on that load of dross! Enough to drive one over to the summer drinks thread!
Is it "we" that looks poor though? This isn't QPR's first team in any shape or form- it's packed full of EDs players, with 9+ changes every game. I didn't think we looked bad Tuesday's game either, given it was the first game back. I do get what you're saying though, and strongly agree that it's time to get our skates on. The "pure fitness" phase of preseason has to be over now- it's time to get serious. There's nothing to be worried about so far imo... but that could rapidly change if we look crappy Vs Orient + Southend midweek.
After this Germany tour I wonder what the current 1st 11 is: Green Onouha Ferdinand Caulker Simpson Barton Faurlin Granero M.Phillips Austin Petrasso ?
You're seriously worrying after the 2nd preseason game, in the pouring rain, trying a new system, making 9 changes mid-game, fielding a million youth players, purely for fitness, without hoillet/granero/the new signings? Obviously we were abysmal- but that's fully expected. If people are going to get upset after this kind of fixture, then I don't think the club should be streaming them. Because it's going to look like this every season. If we're still looking shabby by the Shamrock game on Saturday i'll be concerned.
As I understand it, the last comment came from a fan from the county town of Fingal in Ireland, approximately 13km north of Dublin city centre.
Im not upset or worried but it all just looked shambolic, failing to complete simple passes, retain possession etc etc which is pretty much how we were last season. I had hoped to see some individual skill and shape rather than just a purely fitness exercise. It doesnt help that we will prob sign 7 players 2 days before the season starts. Just hoped to see something better thats all.
OK.... how about: RB Leipzig is Germany's answer to Anzhi in Russia - loads of money being put in buy the owners (Red Bull) with the specific aim of getting the team back into the Bundesliege. They have been promoted in each of the last three seasons, and now stand just one level below the top division. They are three weeks further on than we are as far as preparation goes, as they start their league games next weekend, whilst we are still three weeks off. They have a team that is settled, fitter, playing at home, and geared up for their first game, whereas we have gaps in our side, have a lot of tactical and physical training still to complete, and the whole point of getting the team away is to reach the levels that Leipzig are at now. This is just a step along the way.
It was awful, but its just a early pre season fitness exercise at the moment. However, it is clear we do lack options up front, and creating chances were non existent. I would expect us to create chances - so that is a worry. Need to sort out our forward options very soon though.
please log in to view this image I'm speculating the schedule is some thing like this: Germany Tour Get every squad member 45 mins in each game where possible for fitness. Give everybody a taste of the new system, and give everyone playing time to help encourage the togetherness/feelings of squad unity. Performance secondary. London Midweek games Crank up the fitness, giving everyone 70-90 mins. They'll play the "first 11" Vs Orient on Tuesday, and the 2nd 11 Vs Southend on Wednesday. Slightly more focus on tactics&performance(weighted 50/50ish with fitness), and fewer subs with 5-ish a game. Ireland Tour/PAOK Now we're down to serious business, with 2 weeks to go. Everyone should be fit enough by now, so these are 100% intended to build performance levels + encourage "gelling". There'll still be 4odd subs though, with many players being given the opportunity to prove themselves. Youth participation very much on the backburner PAOK to be treated as the first game of the regular season That may all be bulls**t, but I imagine it's roughly true. Objectively the performances in Germany were terrible- I suppose right now it just comes down to whether you think that matters or not. We need another player or two by Friday, so they can be taken on the Ireland tour. I'll be very concerned if this isn't the case
Same sh*t as last season by the looks of it, I expect us to be given a roasting at Orient on Tuesday and probably the same at Southend on Wednesday similar to our dire performance at Peterborough last year. It's a process of getting the cobwebs off...
