First game was a little pedestrian and they've chucked in Rio, Dunne & Hill this time. We shall see but that looks slow.

I'd like to get a good look at Granero as he did look keen and moved the ball well last time out.

    - WTF he selected a back 4! so much for the 'New System'

Why do we always struggle to get good pre-season friendlies? They're not that bad this year but could be better. Brentford have a better set of friendlies, including one premier league side!!!!

It's 3-5-2, Simpson and SWP are the wing-backs...

Does this new formation mean that we're going to see a lot more of SWP?!

Season tickets will contain a new 'security feature' that looks remarkably like a magnifying glass. <whistle>

He's always done his share of tracking back so I suppose Harry will have a good look at him...

Shaun's not looking comfortable in that position so far.

First impressions: Stray pass aside, Ferdinand looks decent

I realize that this an experimental friendly, but we're looking horrible in defence and everywhere else. I realize the rain is coming down in buckets but same for both sides.

I'd have thought that it was the wind that is causing more trouble than the rain; we are having difficulty moving the ball forwards, they keep passing too long.

Early HT break - yes I think you're right about the additional wind influence.

As Danny Murphy says - no football being played whatsoever in these conditions.

Hopefully this storm passes over during the break and we can watch a better 2nd half with some positional changes.
