A year or so ago David Lloyd took suggestions from this board. I put forward a suggestion that each week in the programme there could be a charity football bet - each week a player would predict 3 teams to win on the Saturday and a £10 bet would be placed (not by the player). There would be a short piece with the player saying why he picked his teams. If the treble came in then the proceeds would go to a nominated charity. Ideally we could get a bookmaker to sponsor it.

Anyway, Mr Lloyd "poo-pooed" my suggestion saying that "the club did not want to encourage gambling".

I was therefore surprised to see a betting booth in the Premier Lounge at the start of the next season.

This week there is an article on the CLUB WEBSITE entitled "Help City out in the Transfer Window with Sky Bet".

Basically each time you bet, you get a token to win £250k for City in the window.

    Ironic eh!!

Most of you know that I tend to be a "positive poster" on here, but they really must do more than just pay lip service to fans ideas.

Another good idea that along with plaque goals - http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/270104-Asking-questions-of-the-decision-makers
Why not put forward ideas openly with others and it might get them taken more seriously.

I have made two suggestions regarding kids coaching videos. I have been told the club are gong down a smilar path. The first e mail was eigteeen months ago. By the time it is done there will be a new generation of kids and City will be playing in europe.

There are some in this world that make a living from other peoples ideas and it would seem we have one at Ashton Gate. I worked for many bosses and workmates who were masters at stealing others, and my own, ideas and turning them to look as if they were the heroes. Some would call it opportunistic and some would say thieving jerks looking for their own job security and worth.
