I can't see the point in the economics of selling everyone. As said above, we won't spend anywhere near this on a new squad and if Morgan and Jay leave too as quoted by the BBC were will be lucky to convince a whole first teams worth of players to join us! It's got to the point where we don't need the money and any bid we make will likely be rebuffed for an unrealistic market figure.

Spectacularly mis-managed by the Saints board and it will bound to male the likes of settled players start to think about moving elsewhere too. Sending out the wrong message and pretty unprecedented in our history. Don't think that many players left Saints after we were relegated from the PL before. It is worrying .

To spend whatever Markus spent on a League One team with PL foundations is smart business. To spend hundreds of millions on a PL team which will struggle to get any higher is something only a madman will do.

 

These types of signings would be the only thing that would stop me from crying myself to sleep.
