What Deeney did was idiotic and he knows it. He went to prison and was then released - end of story ie. the debt is paid. You can say that the sentence was not high enough and there I would agree with you, but are you seriously suggesting that a former inmate should be deprived of his chance to earn a living in the only profession he knows upon release ?

In short, absolutely. It was more than idiotic. Idiotic is leaving the iron on when you go out, not trying to kill someone. And you're damn right the sentence was completely inadequate. His debt to society may have been paid (in the eyes of the law that is, not sure his victim would agree) but playing professional football is a privilege. You are a role model to children and a focal point of local (and sometimes national) life. He put that all on the line when he did what he did, but he effectively got away with it. What must young children think of it all, because the only thing it seems to show them is that footballers can do whatever they like. Become a footballer kids! You can kill your enemies and be out of the big house by pre-season, where a new, juicy contract awaits!

Only profession he knows? I'm sure MacDonald's are always recruiting. Won't take long to learn the ropes there.

Thanks for this. Ulloa and Deeney have never played in the Prem, but obviously you know exactly how they'll do. Your uncanny ability to see into the future must have earned you millions! <doh>

Your uncanny ability to completely hype up any signing Leicester make will be your downfall . It seems some of your fans have some decent football knowledge and appreciate that from the outside your signings look poor to average where as some of you lot would be over the moon if you signed Jason lee.!!!!

Deeney would be the first good signing you will have made if you get that one over the line

Long is a good player but we already have a player like him in Vardy
Apart from his first 15 games at Everton Jelavic has been s**t. I would rather take the risk on a Ulloa then Jelavic

So instead of comparing our striker and a Watford strike to yours why not compare just our strikers

I would take Vardy and Ulloa who cost 9M over your 14M strike force in Long and Jelavic

As for who is better. Come back in 6 months <ok>

Would you like to point out exactly where I've done this? I try to add balance to my posts but obviously too much for you to comprehend their true meaning, as I am one of those that would have preferred it if we hadn't paid £8m for Ulloa. Deeney I dislike for reasons not football related. I've not heard one "outside" fan say our signings have been poor apart from obvious WUMs like your good self and I've not heard any Leicester fans say our signings have been amazing. Most of our signings have been squad players, as we didn't have much depth. The core of our team already exists, we just needed to add a few bells and whistles, which is exactly what we've done.

Good point. Vardy and Ulloa for 9m combined looks far better business. You could also chuck Nugent in too, since he was free!

Each to his own Fettis ... the signing of Ulloa excites me more than either Long or Jelavic (the prospect of Deeney does not inspire me, I'll admit)... with the service I'm expecting our wide men to provide I now 'feel' that we will have a very potent goal threat ... that you might disagree is perfectly fine ... but I would suggest that we have a chat again in October when we see how the opening exchanges have gone .. personally I expect Ulloa to be out performing your boys by then ... but only time will tell ...

October may be a bit soon FF - see how everybody has done in May. Tough start to the fixture list, but a much better run-in.

We set to go back in for Deeney and Watford have said they basically want the same deal we did with Brighton for Ulloa.

Walk away Nigel. He isn't worth it in a million years. I would rather offer Blackburn 10M and get Jordan Rhodes but his wages are likely to be beyond 30K a week

Define "a bit of a twat"?

There's being a bit of a twat, and there's stomping on someone's head!
