Just makes you wonder whether Koeman is ok with this, or whether he has no say in it at all. Seems odd after taking such a stance on Lovren, making him return and go on pre season tour, to then let Chambers go almost straight away, is very worrying.

I have no idea joe, but you always fall back to a stance if 'Cortese is great' and we just don't know what happened. It could be anything, but I doubt she just thought that she'd piss him off for the hell of it.
All we can use for evidence is what we've seen. Cortese: constant improvement and happy players. New board: The vast majority of important players storming out.

We have plenty of reports mate. They disagreed on where to take the club next. It's nothing to do with someone doing something wrong.

Not impossible but even if he did it can't have been anything THAT bad or she wouldn't have tried to get him to stay.

Exactly. He then chose to leave, but Joe for one can't see that as a mark against him. Constantly using the phrase 'forced out'

No-one here knows why.

He knew what he walked into.

To be fair: the people who initially pushed the "he was forced out" were those arguing that Liebherr was in control of the situation.

He was forced out of his position and offered a lesser one. That is being forced out whether he accepts the lesser role or not. He was ousted from a position of power by his employer.

Actually, this is a fantastic bit of business for Saints. Chambers was good but I felt that Clyne was a far more consistent and competent player last season. We seemed more composed at the back with Clyne in the RB role.

If I was an Arsenal fan I would be staggered at the money offered for Chambers. The prices are over-inflated and, to put things in simplistic terms, I wouldn't consider him to be about 3/4 as good as Lallana. At most, Chmabers is a £4 million player and the talk about him being a future England international seems wide of the mark. I'd be more disappointed of Schneiderlin went and whilst I am saddened by the break up of the best Saints team since the mid 80's, this is a fantastic bit of business for Saints. We just need to ensure that we spend the money wisely albthough I'm not convinced that the £80 million received in transfer fees will be spent ion the squad. I would imagine that a good deal of this will be used to pay for the overspend on the academy.

Not too saddened by Chambers but we need to re-build a new and competent team. The current squad is now way too thin even with the next bunch of youngsters coming though.

I'm told Arsenal want Morgan Schneiderlin AND Callum Chambers from Southampton. Spurs have also made an enquiry for Jay Rodriguez

pls

So, he wanted to drive the club further and probably towards champions league quicker.. How was he going to do that? It would need big funding. He may not have done anything wrong; he may have, but she couldn't have liked how he wanted to take the next step.
