They've had a bid accepted for Craig Mackail-Smith, believed to be around £3m: http://www.thisisleicestershire.co....ith-accepted/story-12840111-detail/story.html Neil Danns is allegedly having a medical with them today: http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/home/foxes-close-in-on-hunt-for-danns.html They're also allegedly chasing Andy Johnson, David Nugent, Sean St.Leger and have tied up a season long loan deal with Maccabi Haifa for South African international left back Tsepo Masilela. Leicester and West Ham are going to start this season massive favourites.
Good signings there, but we saw Bristol City do the same last season and didnt get them too far, also Cardiff.
and we're signing..... ? who ?! we arnt even announcing the signings of mckenna for some strange reason, unless even he's on the fence about coming to hull... **** sake
Cardiff had some big names last season. Apart from David James and some non-goalscorer from Scotland, Bristol City didn't. Leicester are making good signings for this level though, I think they'll do well. "hullborn". Do yourself a favour and lower your expectations and you will save yourself a lot of heartache. We don't have any money to throw about. It's obvious.
At least we've got some fans taking the whole transfer situation with a pinch of salt. Someone recently posted on football-rumours - Hull City have bid £50m for Messi, with Harper going the other way.
We still will, we're only one month into a three month window and we have the slight issue of shifting a load of liabilities.
yeah but its just getting bored now. Saw someone say on Facebook that Simon Maltby has left? know anything?
I think you meant Middlesborough rather than Bristol City. Think they've been favourites to go up in the last couple of seasons.
fair enough OLM. i just wish people on here would remember everyone's entitled to their own opinion, a few of us are frustrated with the lack of activity "so far" this window. we all know we're crying out for a few key players to be a decent championship team, id just like to see us get them in and not missing out on top targets.
I think Bristol City learned a lot last season from our "spree", but comparing us to Cardiff or Middlesbough, or even yourselves in terms of spending sems a bit rich (pardon the pun). Everyone in this division seems to have some spare cash for some ex prem or up and coming talent. I have noticed that in the last few years there is normally a Burnley, Hull, Blackpool or Swansea that seem to hit the right amount of team spirit and despite not having big signings manage to achieve what the big spenders cant. All you can do is give yourselves the best chance and LCFC are certainly doing that.
