Anyway, it says that if he wants to continue having a chance of playing for England he will need a loan club before the MLS season starts and we are the favourites because of Uncle H.
I know a few on here will be non to happy about this due to his Chelsea days but for me I would have no problem with Frank. He would deffo help us put a few points on our prem table position.
No chance Taken from Metro.co.uk New York City’s new signing Frank Lampard admits he spoke to Queens Park Rangers about a potential move but ultimately turned them down out of respect to Chelsea. The England veteran is the nephew of Hoops boss Harry Redknapp, and he revealed: ‘We had some conversations and so did my dad. I think my dad spoke to Harry quite a lot. But it wasn’t really an option for me. ‘I had 13 years at Chelsea and it’s something very dear to me so it would have been difficult to play for a club so close. ‘So from that point of view coming out here to New York is a good option – it’s a new start.’
He made it clear he wouldn't play for us for the reasons quoted, much as we could do with a player of that type and experience I doubt anything will change his mind now...
Maybe bringing in Drogba who is equally as old may sway Lampards loyalty. What was the reason he wasn't offered a new contract?
Frank Lampard rejected offer from QPR- http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...app-sign-QPR-agreeing-New-York-City-deal.html
Hmmmm....rejected an offer before he went to New York....now needs to keep fit until MLS pre season in January... he will be on loan somewhere, as long as we promise not to play him against the Scum I do not think it's case closed yet.
He's already had to apologise to New Yorkers for his fun and frolics with JT on 9/11. What could he say to make us accept him?
Well its already 50% right if Queens is correct. Where he goes on loan depends on whether he wants to be available to play for England.
I can't see it happening. He's said he'd spoken to QPR but couldn't do it because of the club's proximity to Chelsea and his love for the King's Road Kunts. 'Nuff said.
He is the only Chelsea player I could accept and for some reason I cant find a reason to hate him like some do. I actually have more respect for him turning us down because he is at least acknowledging that there is bad blood between the two clubs albeit that the pure hatred is predominantly more so from our side!
