    And there we have the Scouse mentality in a nutshell. Her parents were not even born, never mind remember anything about WW1, but she feels a personal attachment to it anyway. Doubtless her great uncle once visited the Science Museum and saw a model of an Appollo space craft so she was devastated the day that one of the Space Shuttles blew up as she felt like she was involved.

    my mum was born in 1962
    so the anniversary of the titanic was extremely tearful to me, really brought it home, such a poignant emotion close to my heart

    I was a child when 'Nam was on the go.

    It felt like I was there.

    Do you know what I mean? The TV pictures transported me to South America where the war was raging on.
