Pozuelo gone to Rayo Vallecano on loan. Shame it hasn't worked out for him. Had high hopes. Hopefully he will come back a better player. http://www.insidespanishfootball.com/117823/rayo-vallecano-loan-pozuelo-from-swansea-city/

I know its The Star but it looks like we have had an 8m bid turned down. A lot of money for a Championship striker. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/fo...war-with-Swansea-for-Watford-star-Troy-Deeney http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troy_Deeney
http://footballleagueworld.co.uk/swansea-join-liverpool-in-the-race-for-leeds-united-defender-sam-byram/ Read somewhere that Leeds have slapped an £8m price tag on him. Would be ideal for us but with Liverpool in the mix can't see us competing. At least it's evidence that we're on the lookout for a right-back.
That prices him at just £2 million less than Ben who has both international and Premier League experience. Still think Jenkins sold us short on that deal.
Marseille star Dimitri Payet has revealed his reason for rejecting a move to Swansea City is because he felt they aren’t a “very big club”, so he decided to stay in France. Payet, 27, was all set to make his move to south Wales last week when the two clubs agreed a fee of £6.7 million but he turned their offer down, despite admitting that is was financially attractive, as he wanted to prove himself in France and improve on an average campaign last season. Gary Monk is looking at strengthening his squad ahead of the new season after avoiding relegation last season, and Payet was seen as an important buy until he turned their offer down and decided to stay in France with Marseille. Payet admitted that his performances last season were not good enough and he was hoping for an offer from a “very big club”, which didn’t arrive, citing the Swans as not big enough for him to make the move to England. “Am I attracted by Swansea proposition? With all respect I have for Swansea I am absolutely not attracted,” he told L’Equipe. “Since first contact between the club and my agent, I declined the offer. I want to go on at l’OM. “Since the start, I was sure [I wanted] to stay. I immediately talked to the chairman. Even if the press stated I didn’t make my choice so far. Those rumours must be stopped. “Indeed on a financial level the offer is very attractive. But being 27, I still have sporting objectives and I decided to stay. If a very big club wanted to contact me it would have done so already. I was average last season, I should have done much more to be a serious target. You never know in football but today I can say I will stay at l’OM 100 per cent.” Payet scored eight goals and created 65 chances in Ligue 1 last season.
"Sky Sports understands four Premier League clubs are battling it out to sign Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson on loan. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is thought to be open to the idea of loaning out Jenkinson next season so that he can play regular first-team football. There is no shortage of suitors for Jenkinson, with West Ham, Swansea, Sunderland and Hull all interested in taking the former Charlton man on loan. The quartet are ready to offer Jenkinson, who made 22 appearances last season, regular first-team football next term as they look to bolster their defensive options. Hull boss Steve Bruce confirmed to Sky Sports News that he has enquired about Jenkinson's availability. "I had a conversation with Arsenal about four or five weeks ago to see if it was possible. And apparantly so, it might be," he said. "We'll look at that situation but we haven't had confirmation from Arsenal. I would hate to speak out of turn but we are led to believe the kid might be available - and if he is, then of course we would be interested." Jenkinson is expected to find his first-team opportunities limited at Arsenal following the signing of Mathieu Debuchy and the imminent arrival of Calum Chambers at Arsenal. Chambers is set to arrive from Southampton with the 19-year-old right-back viewed as a possible central defender in the future by Arsenal. England international Jenkinson remains highly regarded at the Emirates, but Wenger feels he would be best served by going out on loan to another Premier League club next season to continue his development so that he is ready to stake his claim for a regular spot in the Arsenal side upon his return. Jenkinson sees his long-term future at Arsenal, but knows the opportunity of first-team football in the Premier League next season will boost his chances of reclaiming his place back in the England squad." ....he'd be tidy
Sadly, if he wants to play for England, no point in joining us with Hodgson still England Manager.........
Wasn't it Jenkinson that Nathan Dyer chased down for Michu to get the second goal at the Emirates in our 2 nil win ?
I think you're right. Just found an article on Newsnow that has some interesting players....some of them they recommend for us; Benjamin Stambouli – Montpellier HSC Position: Defensive-Midfield Suggested Clubs: Everton, Swansea, West Ham United Young Benjamin Stambouli broke into the Montpellier side when they won the 2011/12 Ligue 1 title, and over the last few seasons he has established himself as an integral part of La Paillade. He is a tough tackler, not just tough, but superbly accurate and decisive. He can spray the ball 40 yards, or pick out the simple option. His all-round game is very impressive. The epitome of a team player, he has played in central midfield, centre-back, right-back, left-back, just about anywhere that various Montpellier bosses have asked him too. Pape Souare – Lille OSC Position: Left-Back Suggested Clubs: Southampton, Crystal Palace, Hull City After a loan spell at Stade de Reims, Pape Souare broke into the Lille defence last season, and once he won his place, he never let it go. Playing at a very high pace, with endless energy levels, Souare was a huge part of Lille OSC’s 21 clean sheets last season. Strong in the air with a great leap, but he could improve massively on his final ball. Quick and eager to burst down the flanks, he is a brilliant modern day full-back with lots of room for improvement. Timothee Kolodziejczak – OGC Nice Position: Left-Back Suggested Clubs: West Ham United, Southampton, West Brom At only 22 years old, it is crazy to think that Timothee Kolodziejczak is already on his third Ligue 1 club. After coming through the academy at RC Lens, he joined Lyon and played more than a handful of games as a 19-year-old. He is tall, has a rangy stride, is good in the air and an excellent defender against pacey wingers. He likes to get forward and has an excellent left-foot. After playing over 70 games for Nice, it looks like the ever-impressive defender is ready to move on. Physically he is ready for a move to the Premier League and he could become an elite left-back given the right environment.
