I had to pop out before FP2 finished..
What times were the Merc boys doing on their long runs?
I wouldn't be surprised if they lap most of the field on Sunday!

 

The thing is it's not really over 1 lap that the Merc shows it's true dominance over the Ferraris and Renault run teams but over 2 or 3

 

Vettel looked closest in the long runs. It seems that a combination of compound change, Fric and the new engine designs have left a 3 second deficit at this track!

 

The Mercedes were quick last year over one lap, not to the extent that they are this year, but as you say, it's over a number of laps now where they have the advantage as they have learnt how not to chew through tyres. If they had sorted this last year then Vettel would have had a harder fight of it.
