http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28471772 I know he didn't work out for us but his injury record is horrible. about time he had some luck and have a long run injury free.
It wasn't his fault we paid a butt load of cash for him- and gave him a silly contract! From all I can tell- he made a decent effort for us and didn't want to leave. If Liverpool offered me 10s of thousands of £ per week and paid my company £35mill for me to go... I'd go to Liverpool too! Even though I know I'm carp! I'd even grow my hair out like Andy if they wanted!
Just saw that. Poor guy, think the worse thing he did was move to us. Had he stayed at Newkie, would have progressed far more and could be a very dangerous player.
All of the above sentiments re; he had to join us because he was being offered silly money etc. But he brings half h8s 8njuries on himself as hes not a dedicated professional. He was 8njured when he joined us because ? He fell off a barstool in a casino ffs. You get out what you put in. And his late nights , falls , fights all take their toll.
Yeah he is incredibly lazy when not involved with football which just leads to injuries and fitness problems. I always liked him and didn't want him to leave, but ah well.
no don't feel sorry at all, he's a multi millionaire who is also a playboy. i feel only that newcastle shafted us and everoyne involved deserved the sack as signing an injured player is terrible.
I've heard from a number of people re. his lifestyle and his laziness in training. Have no sympathy really but I have no hate towards him.
I think he means that Rodgers selling him rather than keeping him on was dodging a bullet, even though we only recouped about 20m less than what we paid. The bullet of signing him in the first place obviously hit us and hit us hard.
How? We sent Torres and Benayoun to Chelsea to fund Suarez and Carroll, reached 2 cup finals, won 1, came 2nd in the league, and sold them for over £90m Everton would kill for 10% of that success.
How? You paid £35m for Andy Carroll, you sold him for £15m. Not hard even for someone of your intellect level to digest.
its just cos he's adding up all sorts of stuff to come to that rosey picture. i as someone who doesn't care about a head butting contest sees the andy Carroll deal as a total debacle that cost comolli his job and prob kenny too. sure we reach two cup finals, sure carrol came on and nearly tied up the final at 2-2 but he didn't... if we'd held the cash til summer we prob would have still survived in the league (which imo was the panic) but prob would have got better than 7th the following year... cp finals who knows.
So £20m loss on one of many deals. That's just the cost of doing business for a big club. How is it a "bullet in the face"?
