Its auto for me this season with a few ups & downs on the way. Should be a busy week this week. Playsers return from training. One or two players in. One or two on their way. Hold onto your seats for a bumpy ride ahead. MOT
Leeds60, you can make every single team in the division sound good and like they're promotion candidates. Par exemple: Peterborough - scored loads of goals last season and were the entertainers of the division in the same way Leeds were. Didn't do Leeds any harm last season, and in Grant McCann and the certain influx of Man U loanees, they'll be flying due to a solid midfield foundation which Leeds lacked last term. Coventry - got an excellent young squad and only faded out of the top six last year due to bad luck. They have a manager in Boothroyd who knows the way out of the division and who'll continue making astute signings and playing win-at-all-costs football. Doncaster - genuine promotion prospects last season, play some superb football and they were hit by thirteen injuries at one time which ruled them out from winning anything. With a full line-up next season, they'll be right up there. You can bill any old ****e up as being good if you try hard enough. I'm not too worried about the level of our competition next season, we need to worry about our own playing squad first and foremost.
Lets be honest until we settle on our squad, we don't really know but Grayson is going to have to improve ten fold with his transfer dealings ,and in 3 years he's been poor. Thats my worry and i don't think grayson will sign the right players
You might have another problem, a mate of mine who's quite well connected at Newcastle reckons they've agreed a £4m deal for Snodgrass.
So Bates told Norwich they could stick a £3.5m bid 'where the sun don't shine' but has accepted a £4m one from the Toon?
No idea, I'm just passing on what he said, it could be complete bollocks, though he is normally reliable.
It was paper talk but was in the Times alongside that Frings story, so I'm tempted to believe it. Said our asking price was £8m.
Leicester, Pompey and Boro will be the teams to watch out for. Nobody is mentioning Boro as they have struggled twice now, nut they looked sharp towards the end of season and handed out some drubbings. Pompey even less mentioned than Boro, yes they have only 9 players but if they do find a bit of cash from someone they can still pose a threat, Nugent can be good on his day, and theres a few players with gd experience
Nugent is going to LEICESTER,SOMMA BORO well they need more firepower and look like losing LITA/EMNES
i COULD MAKE OUT a case for all 24 clubs but I have chosen the ones I think will be the main rivals if you twist my arm I would say Reading LEICESTER WEST HAM NOTTS FOREST CARDIFF OUTSIDERS sOUTHAMPTON
At the end of last season, even after missing out on the play-offs, I'd have said we stood a good chance this season. Now, given the debacle over Schmeichel and the speculation about Snodgrass and Gradel and lack of decent signings I'd say definitely not. But it's still early and Grayson's got time to make a few decent signings and get Gradel et al signed up on longer contracts, so I'm quietly hopeful. Marching on Together.
It's called setting a high asking price so you don't end up selling your top players. You lot should try it some time.
