The Normans weren’t French – they were Vikings who’d been in France for a while vying (amongst other things) for dynastic marriages and claims to the English throne (the rule of which frequently included swathes of France).
Bullpoop ! They came from France and slapped Nigels arse . Fact is all the English ****s who don't have a Celtic (keltech) ancestry are probably off Frog decent . Ah well ......cest la vie
I don’t know about that Aldo – DNA analysis shows the English gene pool is 79% pre-Roman, roughly the same as the rest of the UK and Ireland, much to the chagrin of the PC brigade and the “Celts” (I.E., the English are invaders, the Scots/Welsh/Irish are heroic indigenous and all that utter bollocks). As for the pre-Roman bit, they probably came up from what is now Iberia (so they reckon) having been who knows where else since out-of-Africa humans escaped from that crappy continent to populate the rest of the world. The Normans, on the other hand, were post-Roman era Scandinavian and many would claim William had a better claim to the English throne (ruling much more than England as we generally do) than the sitting “legitimate” English king. And he only lost Hastings because his English army had just trecked all the way down from the north east of England having just kicked a different invading Germanic army’s butt.
