Last season Sturridge had 29 starts. Remy had 26. Lambert started 37. That's 92 starts between them. If we start with 1½ forwards on average... that's 57 starts to share between them for the season. We're not going to start all three.
With Sturridge and Remy being the main strikers they had 34 combined which again is fine. Lambert will get to at least five plus assists, I expect 40 plus goals from all three minimum.

He's a solid player. Yes won't win you games with a piece of magic but was highly effective for City. Better as a CM than a winger as he lacks pace and real skill to beat a man out wide. Offers defensive protection and lots of energy with Hendo and Lallana.
I'm not opposed to Milner... (not for him either... feel he fills a role with have cover for in more than abundance)... Milner would have been great if we didn't already have a dozen players in his position. I was just being silly- stating it would be worse approaching Everton than City to try and get his signature. I don't know why we need so many new players- instead of replacing current squad. We've got maybe 6 games in Europe- and then who knows what- at max maybe another 6. Most realistic is we have less than 1 extra game a month over the season. We don't need to double our squad for that. Unless we're selling people- it's ridiculous to have so many attacking midfielders and still be signing more!
i think you need to look at how the whole season interacts here and factor in desired success... or at least getting into europa the reality is factor in the internationals, league cup, cl and you find a large part of the season before christmas playing 2 a week, then we all know the score after christmas if europa rolls round. its gfine to say oh its just 6 more BUt it does change things.... europa would too but the level is league 1 so you just throw kids at it.
Also last year we were stretched. We were lucky that we managed to keep a core first 11 of Bout 7 or 8 players who played every game. Normally that wouldn't get you through a normal season so we cat expect it to work again for us. CL or no CL, we needed to add more depth which is what we've done.
