On the subject of abstentions, Phillip Hammond has just been on the news sharing a platform with Nettywhatsit. Apparently the UK recognises the right of Israel to defend itself, but we're most concerned at the civilian death toll. Benjamin slightly raised an eyebrow in response. Look, I'm not knocking (though I am being facetious), because I see this crap going on, fellow human beings cowering in hovels looking for shelter and I can't help but think how the world stood and watched 20 years ago in the old Yugoslavia. But then I think of Iraq and Afghanistan and think - no. But, gesture as it would have been, what would have been the harm in voting with the resolution? Well this - Israel has more intel on Arab/Islamist terrorism and Jihadi groups than any other agency in the world, including the NSA, CIA and MI5. We rely on them that much we simply can't upset them. It stinks; we're impotent, ever irrelevant and some would say that's the point in dodging the vote, but in the eyes of the world it probably re-inforces that view, if not that the UK supports Israel.
Is that still the case in 2014 mate? and is their intel so valuable to us that it's worth standing by while they commit attrocities in Gaza? I'm not sure the answer to either question is or should be - yes.
Should is a moral question and has no base in the intelligence game if you actually want to get some. It's duplicitous an immoral in its very nature. As for would it. Possibly apart from no more direct Israeli Intel, it would alter the intelligence level we get from the Yanks as they play the "you can't have it because our source won't let you have it....." Also you're talking about our politicians. They have that voice inside their head that says imagine if you are the one who stops that Intel coming and a bomb goes off in London...loss of Intel might 've been totally irrelevant but it just needs to be suggested afterwards to the voters that it was partly responsible and.....
No Iran hates the US and UK because they tried to impose their own puppet government on them in the 70's to keep an actual friendly relationship going. Repeat scenario in South America, Africa, South East Asia........
And when I say friendly I mean useful to us and a corrupt elite in an authoritarian regime where the people were being cheated out of their own assets
They're also not Arabs. And we created them rather than have a history of asset stripping and betraying them.
Sorry I can't source this Tobes, but there was a report in the Times only @ 18 months ago saying that we rely almost fundamentally on Israeli intel, even for DOMESTIC Islamist threats; even more so than US and French info. The Israelis, allegedly have paid/blackmailed plants in every Jihad group on the planet.
Israel itself isnt, but the richest Americans and brits are jews the rotschilds. The rothschilds control something like 90% of the worlds central banks. What do you think happens if us or uk go against israel? The rotschilds call in their debt and society as we know it collapses.
A U.N. school in Gaza has been targetted killing scores of women and children trying to find refuge also killed were 3 U.N. teachers. At first the Israeli government stated it was Hamas who blew up the school. But a few hours later the I.D.F. state "we sent an evac warning to the U.N. stating the school would be shelled" U.N. survivor of the attack says he wants proof of this as he had been pleading with Israeli leaders for a cessation of the shelling to allow them to leave.
Originally, guilt over what the Germans did to Jewish people in WWII- so we punished a bunch of arabs- kicking them out of their land so that some Europeans who had some ancestors from the region could have their own land there. That made us unpopular with everyone else in the region. Now? They're friendly towards us- owe us a debt and they're in the middle east. The middle east is obviously strategically important as an energy player. If we lost Israel as an ally we'd only have Turkey in the area left... and they're further out... less stable- and not as reliable- they won't always back us up. Basically Israel is our Suarez. He goes round biting people and acts like a lunatic- but the club backed him because he was "ours". We're trying to replace Suarez in the transfer market... but we couldn't replace Israel in the middle east. No amount of money will buy a new ally there... so we turn our backs as they bite all the Arabian and Persian nations.
Milk thats nicely put ... add to that they tried to sign Iraq but he turned out to be an Aspas lol. Syria turned into a Sigurdsson and the fact that the rotschilds could **** up the world with the stroke of a pen.
"OT Gaza, the Algerian donation and the closed thread" Just a random thought... If Gazza were Algerian he would have made a much better player for England because he wouldn't be allowed to drink!
Absolutely **** all. Thats what. They dont get their money back. What happens to tge value of their money if society collapses? It becomes worthless and they become worthless.
