Apparently Talksport reported this morning that Neil Danns has turned downed Everton, Celtic & Rangers and is having a medical at Leicester today. If it's true would be awesome signing. Looks like we going to be very busy this week.
Why would he turn down Rangers, Celtic and Everton for us? can only imagine that it would be for guaranteed first team football.
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_7006849,00.html? Sky Sports 'understand' he is having a medical too...although they could've got this off Foxestalk!
I trust sky sports, they are right 95% of the time, and they don't postup these kind of stories without some sort of solid evidence
http://www.footie-online.co.uk/2011/06/danns-on-the-verge-of-rangers-switch/1642/ oops, i suppose you never know....
The BBC is near enough 100% correct but sometimes a bit boring as they don't release a story unless they are certain. By which time Sky Sports have reported it already. So taking a risk and being wrong 5% of the time makes Sky Sports more entertaining and a better bet for first news. Imho.
I've been following Danns, both through the news sites and his twitter account, as he was one of our main targets(Hull City). Rangers have said they are interested and that they've been speaking to his agent and we expected him to go there, but I've been surprised that he hasn't been to speak to them directly, he's been in at his folks place in Liverpool for the past week. Celtic said he was a good player and they would be interested, but I'm not sure they ever followed it up. I haven't seen Everton linked with him at all, other than in today's stories linking him with a move to you. Bloody good signing if you get him.
So we have had these news reports in the last few days Hes signing for Rangers http://www.footie-online.co.uk/2011/06/danns-on-the-verge-of-rangers-switch/1642/ Hes signed for us http://www.thisisleicestershire.co....e-midfielder/story-12840314-detail/story.html Im hoping the latter is true and with Rob Tanner saying it is going to get busy today, hopefully hes right.
Excellent news for you guys, really showing intent this season. I just hope it snows when we play you!!
It's on the BBC now. The only more certain source is the club website. Are they waiting for anything else to happen before they call a news conference?
