Shocking management again by the club.

And does anyone honestly believe he will sign a deal.

And the kasper thing is a joke now, handled very badly and left the club in limbo

I despair how the club is been run.

Who says we haven't offerred Max a deal. He's been on holiday for the past month. He's back this week for pre-season training. No doubt we'll read soon that his advisers and the club have been in discussion over the summer & Max is now ready to sign. One thing's for sure, the club aren't going to let Max go without a fight. He really does matter to the future of the club.

Boggers its true tho still shocking management by the club!

Should have been looked at in January, when a player gets to a year left on his contract thats when the agent starts flinging pound signs at him! if we flung pound signs at him in January then surely he would have signed?

    Evening post this morning boggers.

And what makes you sure he'll sign.

Didnt you say we wouldnt sell kasper, an hour before we accepted a bid.

You think he's gunna sign now with just a year left and prem clubs sniffing around.

If he does great but very doubtfull

If Gradel does go, Bates can expect one hell of a backlash. With ticket prices as they are and the lack of investment in the team, the one thing you'd at least expect us to do is to fight and keep hold of our best player/s.

This club is worth much more to Bates as Premiership team, so why try to get away with making a few quick quid now? Just doesn't make sense.

Because they're not back for pre-season training yet. The YEP is just about a month late in reporting the news that West Ham are interested in him.

    Radebeer,

this club is worth more as a championship club to him,

he knows if we get in the premiership it will cost him a lot more on wages and players than now and the gates won't increase that much,

as it is now hes got himself a cushty little number the tight bastard

What I mean by that, is that if we reach the Prem, he can sell up and walk away, with a potentially huge profit. Whereas at the moment, stripping every little asset away, piece by piece, he's devaluing the club, although I guess that would require too much investment and as a business man, Bates knows the risk in that.

LIW I'll give you your point on Kasper. But like you, I didn't know that his agent had said agreeing an extension would be difficult, or that the club apparently were in the market for a new keeper anyway. Having said all of that, he hasn't actually signed for anyone yet. So Kasper is still a Leeds keeper, albeit probably only on paper.

I think he's the type of person / player that will jump ship straight away if a better deal or team comes along, some players show commitment but I dnt think he's one. I reli reli hope he signs as he's key to our season

Because he can't negotiate with the club or sign a contract if he isn't actually there. It's fairly basic common sense.

And what makes you think his agent isn't away soaking up the sun? Agents tend to go on holiday around this time of year too.

The reason Gradel hasn,t signed is quite simple he hasn,t been offered a new contract why? because Bates can then sell him and state well we had to sell him oterwise we would have lost out next year as for Snodgrass if we get offered £4m he will be sold for the good of the club what club who owns the club BATES does end of!

But the player still actually has to be there in the final stages. If we'd given Gradel a 4 year deal and, say, Beckford had missed the chance against Bristol Rovers, you'd be going on about how it was **** management to give him such a long contract. As it is we were promoted and he had a brilliant season which no-one really saw coming and suddenly we should have had him tied down ages ago!

when the club has given longer deals to much older players, it kind of kills that point.

also why not sort it out last xmas.

Are you saying the club has done the right things
