Joe Allen will prove you wrong MITO. For me, now Suarez is gone he is only truly world class player left, not only for his onfield contribution but he's also a wonderful person off the pitch, and is wonderful for morale.
I think he regressed last season from whenever I saw him, Flanagan (who was widely considered behind him in the pecking order) making the step up, with players like Wisdom coming through has really dented his chances. Big season for him.
I think Allen will be an important player for us but I don't see him as "first pick" when all are fighting fight etc
I like Allan and think he has certain strengths that are useful on some games. Me needs to play with an attacking player and defensive as he doesn't excellent on either of these areas. Coutinho, Allen and an in form Lucas or Mascherano type would be a good trio. He'll have an important part to play this year, maybe not automatic first choice but he's only 24 so still young as well. Remember how much Hendo improved last year, maybe Allen will do the same.
Johnson starts when fit. It just happens like that so I put him in. Lovren competes but since he hasn't signed he's easy to leave out for now. I don't think we will change the CBs around too much and Skrtel > Agger out of last season's CBs.
