you never know Tickles ... but what exactly are you basing your rationale for this on? ... teams winning the Championship with a points tally of over 100? ... think that's probably just ourselves, Reading and Newcastle ... and I believe the other two both survived first season up ... or is your hypothesis merely scientific 'wishful thinking' ? ... and have you also considered the impact of 'second season synrome' on the clubs that went up the season before?
I don't mind AKCJ, Fosse, Wizard etc. They're all a decent bunch to be honest. I can post on there without them complaining, why can't they post on ours?
Good point ... must say I'm finding the pre-season sparring wryly amusing already ... what never ceases to put a smile (or at least the start of a grin) on my face is the way that fans of clubs (including ours) are so dismissive of the signings made / forthcoming prospects of 'rivals' ... the only real 'truth' is that pre-season we are all hoping against hope that it's going to be a 'good year' ... football never ceases to surprise e.g Man United's fall from grace last season, Palarse's incredible escape against all the odds ... who would have predicted how the season would go for each at this time last year? For me - I'm more optimistic than I have been for years ... because we have a good young squad now combined with a good team ethic and collectiveness ... if the worst happened and we did come back down I suspect we would hang on to most of the youngsters and would be in a good position to come back-up even stronger with their inevitable improvement by maturity ... si I'm more than happy to sit back and enjoy the ride ... I'm cautiously optimistic that we will shock a few people with our overall pace and purpose ... was a huge element of our game last season and it looks like it will continue ...
Likewise, and there are a few teams I'd much rather go down than Leicester. QPR, Palace, Sunderland, West Ham for example.
I think the Leicester posters on here are OK. Boards with only one set of fans discussing things are a bit dull. Leicester is a bit like Hull in that it has a lot of people who go to rugby, albeit a different code. Considering the large percentage of people in Leicester from cultures where both football and rugby are not popular they do well to get 20,000 for rugby and will no doubt be getting 30,000 and above for football next season. One of only 3 teams whose fans took over the middle of Bunkers as well.
On another forum I'm part of I run a podcast, which this week has started previewing the PL season, starting with the promoted clubs and Villa and West Brom. We got a Leicester and Burnley supporter on if anyone's interested in giving it a listen (I'm SM): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlafhnYM2ss
I agree you have an exciting team/squad and adding Ulloa (despite the price) is great, but I still think at centre back you're looking weak.
HULL CITY and Leicester City will both stay up . Imo . I am really looking toward to Leicester city away not only will I be going so will my Leicester city supporting friend who lives in Leicester . He was given 18 months nearly 4 years ago but amazingly he Is still surviving . (C ) Have been telling him we would be going to see the tigers.v the foxes in the premier league . I was so happy Leicester got promoted and fingers crossed he will be at the game with me Even if Leicester manage to thrash us I will still be happy IF my friend is still here and at the game with me . Up the tigers and good luck Leicester City
Castro You remember Leicester and city fans both been on bunkers with a thin blue line between us . I got cut on head by a sharpened penny lobbed by Leicester Fans Was funny as my mate who had a huge nose got cut on his beak ! Those foxes fans couldn't miss his bloody huge nose
I guess we don't have any rivals near to us (league-wise).. So I guess we and Lesster have a love/hate relationship. Everyone needs someone to love/hate. It is a small reason to hate a team for, but I will take any reason I can get to have a rivalry. After all, they did loan us NP to steady our ship, so we could build on it, to have the team that we have now. Without NP, I honestly don't think that we'd have attracted the calibre of manager of SB.
So this Leicester C v Hull C banter thread is a bunch of our fans, and FF? Needing a rivalry, especially a tenuous one like this makes you look like TWS fans. Criticising their squad is kinda funny too. Remember ours at the start of last season? That same squad that got us to an FA Cup final for the first time ever? Glass houses and all I reckon.
