There are many examples of strikers scoring hat-fulls of goals for a club and then not finding the back of the net to the same degree when having moved on to a new club.

It strikes me that maybe it is not the striker but the suppliers of the final pass that we should be after.

With the exception of the Suarez type, who can pick the ball up and go round defenders at will and slot the ball home, very few top strikers would score a large number for us based on the good through balls and crosses from the wings that we did (or rather didn't) see last season.

    Thoughts.

It didn't stop Charlie from scoring lots of goals last season.

It didn't stop Charlie Austin miss a few sitters either
QPR have always had a creative number 10 ... A playmaker ... with Eamon on this
OK watching last night was not a real game but anyone who watched the game must have been able to predict where the ball was going
Good if we keep the ball but where the spark ... I have faith in Hoilett running and trying stuff but IMO need a bigger spark than that Granero?
    Maybe Morrison is coming ?
He looks exactly the player we need IMO
We need flair and a set of keys to unlock in this league or expect a lot of chess matches

Agreed. I wouldn't like to be relying on Granero for that spark of creativity.

I'd agree as well, if we were to play 4-4-2 with 2 outright wingers Matty\JNR then maybe they could create chances with crosses, very one dimensional however there doesn't seem to be anyone in the middle who will be the play maker\ no.10 we would be looking for.

However we still need someone else to put the ball in the net as well, preferably someone with a bit of pace. You need to score goals to stay up.

As you mentioned, mate ..... It could the new teams final pass but maybe, it is with the new player feeling comfortable wth his life and his team mates. If all is good in his life, it will show.
