A guy on the facebook group (think he's involved in construction), says it's something new and "you'll like it"...

    It's behind Caulker's right shoulder:

"They are moving the centre of the lower loft. I truly can't say no more! But big surprise on the first game of the season"

Are they moving the tunnel/dressing rooms to give them more space for hospitality areas in the main stand? Can't think why you'd need to move it unless the existing entrance/hole in the Loft was so close to the pitch you couldn't get round the goals without a hideous angle for the TV camera.

It's always been there hasn't it? It's the tiny KL? Section that removes to allow large vehicles in eg diggers to redo the pitch?

It's for the cheerleaders to run out of.

    God, I hope not!

It could be a shock for Nines, Judo and Sussex when they try to find their seats on the 16th :emoticon-0104-surpr

This guy seems adamant that there's further building work going on. He's the one who posted the in-the-hole pics, and came across as genuine. It could be an elaborate wind up though I suppose..!

Maybe a separate dressing room and tunnel for Adel - stop him from upsetting the rest of the dressing room?

As Ricardo (?) says, they wouldn't be moving the players entrance would they?

I think it'd give a huge lift to the players (and inverse reaction for the opposition) to run out into a corridor of noise!

Not doubting that there may be work going on, or that they may well be putting something 'in the hole' (maybe Adel?!). They put temporary seating in on match day, and a gangway goes over the top so you don't notice it so much - but it has always been there. They need it to access the pitch. Hence also the big double gates to the Loft also. Trying to find a pic, and this is the best I can do! But you can see the concrete sides for the passageway.

Hopefully my IT skills shine through :)

    The answer is obvious.

They are consolidating all the R's holes that normally sit there in to one big R's hole.

I used to try and sit in that little section when I take my lad, not got to get past Loads of people to get to a seat. Trying other side of goal this year though as lost every time I sat there!

Its where we are going to put an extra 20,000 seats so we can stay at Loftus Road.

He said he couldn't reveal the hole's purpose for fear of "losing his job". Now all his posts have disappeared...including the above pics. Mysterious.
I wonder if there's any chance it could be a removable piece of safe standing, as a trial. He said it was nothing to do with the tunnel being moved <confused>

Well I've renewed my ST's there, so that's not the reason. It must have something to do with the pitch or another part of the ground. Either that or he's added two and two to make five not realising that basic pre-season maintenance procedures use that part of the stand to gain pitch access to the pitch and that nothing unusual is actually happening.

Ah, are your seats directly in the hole Nines? Maybe it's something superficial like putting some coloured seats in to form an image.
