Clive's in fine form: "You would therefore have forgiven the QPR medical staff if the first part of the tests on Steven Caulker this morning consisted of little more than them walking slowly around him, poking him firmly with their index fingers to see if he is actually real – and really here. That, presumably, was swiftly followed by a thorough brain scan."
What is his problem? What does it matter if this transfer took a while to complete? It was a big decision for a 22 year old to decide where to commit himself to for the next few years. He had other offers to consider and also was keen to get the best personal terms he could. All perfectly reasonable imo.
This especially for StoopidBluBurd... http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014...ld-turn-out-to-be-the-signing-of-the-season/?
Exactly. If Clive thinks a player needs a brain scan if he joins us, perhaps he should turn his laboured and stilted verbiage on himself and ask why he bothers to support us. Though what he does is a long way from support. I've tried not to comment on his stuff for a few months, if others enjoy it great, the fact that I personally think that his sixth form writing style is cringeworthy is immaterial. But actually he's fair game, he's created a platform for himself and relentlessly churns it out by the yard, presumably a reaction is what he wants. 'Fan of the Year' my arse.
Good read Uber but the WUM is just trying to hide the pain of relegation and playing Brentford by trying to make out we've signed some sort of duffer. Sadly he does not realise how stupid he appears because he is obviously true to his name.
Seriously Today's game is full of whores Sad but that's the game 4 years means nothing look how out team has changed It's all a gamble Promising words and hope is the best we can hope for SC Is he any good? Relegated on his CV IMO Rio will be long gone before anything gels maybe he has eyes in management No idea but Harold himself will jump ship hopefully if it goes all wrong It's looking like a real battle this year of course but each game has three valuable points to go for ... Seems we will be looking to hold sides That to me is negative football and not QPR
It is a lot of money Rick. The fees small Clubs are splashing out these days are frightening. There's a perception that you boys are doing it too. Have you spent a lot this window cos it sounds like you're buying big every bloody week?!
Sorry ..... I can't agree with any of this. Having looked at the past campaigns, for once, I think we are really building for not only a good year but for a couple after that. If we can now strengthen our forwards, we should have a good balance. This team looks like it has been well selected, not thrown together like in the past. Just my two bobs worth. The season hasnt even started? Lets all be positive.
For some reason everything is inflated these days in the transfer market.......a few years ago eyebrows were raised when someone spent £4-5 mil, now a days £8 - 10 mil seems to be the norm......look at sunderland spending £14m on Borini....leicester spending £8m on Ulloa from brighton......don't suppose anyone questioned that type of spending, but for some reason whenever we spend it will be questioned. Unfortunately the whole sky prem league is geared to the big 6/7 clubs who can spend huge sums of money thereby sending the transfer market into orbit for everyone else in the division.....
No surprise there. He landed on this Board once to have a go at me for complaining his articles are too long. I wouldn't be surprised if the bloke hears voices. Oddball has gone totally off the rails this time Aussie. The one thing I learned from our last PL effort was that team-spirit and camaraderie from the promotion-winning team must not be broken up. Incidentally it was Oddball himself who taught me that. Now he's heading in the opposite direction saying our team's no good because its full of mediocrity with no flair players. Chasing those Tigers around for so long has finally gotten to him.
