With the best players gone and the rest frantically trying to escape what real appeal is there to join the saints?
Oh dear. We're doomed Just to humour the OP: We are premier league We have millions to invest We have the all time top scoring defender as our manager Our manager won the euros and European cup as a player Our manager is a winner A couple of nasty little personalities have left/are leaving We were everyone's second favourite team last year We are currently the 8th bet team in England Our profile has never been higher Our brand spanking new training ground is fantastic Our reputation for playing excellent and attractive football is very strong right now We have one of the best academies developing players We have a reputation for giving young players a chance; no matter who you are, if you're good enough you'll play Hampshire is beautiful We have a local airport to get you anywhere quickly The new Forest is beautiful CBK Godders Qwerty's proof that we live in the proper southern part of England Local ale The sea The Isle of Wight Thinking about it now, I really think we are doomed. No-one will want to join us.
Was thinking about this last night and feel Ron's strategy is spot on. Play a few friendlies and identify exactly what players/talents you already have before diving in to the frenzied market. He may feel players like Reed and Targett are ready for the step up if not he has more than enough money to buy. As FLT says his reputation should be enough to tempt players to Saints.
I think the op has a point and flt you do make a good case for saints still being a good club for potential new signings, however if the outside world were to find out about our leaking stadium roof and poor PA system then we would really be in trouble. You also forgot to mention the new LED flood lights what top player does not want to have ago at playing under them.

Oh bugger, I didn't realise ALL our remaining players were frantically trying to leave. Perhaps we'd better just turn out the lights and close the club down. And the two players who have joined us had better leave too
