Saw some stat yesterday that Real have spent more on the transfers of Ronaldo, Bale and Rodriguez than Ajax have since they were formed in 1900
Ronaldo and Bale wide of James behind Benzema, I'm guessing. No place for Isco... guess we could take him.
I'd say Modric and Kroos with Modric further back, but Varane and Ramos are probably mobile enough for the lack of a true holding midfielder to not matter too much.
Yeah, but they've got precedent for it, like when they chucked out Makelele. The Real Madrid philosophy has always been just to cram in superstars.
Well I think Modric is a guaranteed starter at this point and neither of Kroos and Alonso are. They won't play the same XI every game, of course. Dunno if Illaramendi features in their plans at all.
Thats about it yep. Like Man Utd and Barcelona they get away with FFP because their revenue is so high that costs are well within the % of revenue. However all 3 are teetering on the precipice with huge debts that whilst being serviceable in the short term would become very very dangerous if they were to increase much further. The 3 of them are have a combined debt something like £2billion between them!!! That is unless the mayor of madrid has found another way to use tax payers money to buy something at well over the odds as seems to happen frequently.
Provide me a glossed over link and I shall read. That is if indeed the gist of it that the world talks about is untrue. On the other 2 not looked recently but Barcelona and Madrid were something like £500m and £550m. That was before Bale and Neymar.
