I went to Latvia to watch City, but this was way out of my financial league. Anybody know any fans who have gone over?
Watching him at Portishead and seeing highlights against the extension gunners he looks a player, everything will go through him
Well we knew what we were getting when we brought him in but usually every player we sign who comes here highly rated we ruin.... Very excited about Freeman though, looks like a great addition from the videos so far, as does Mark Little.
'Very excited about Freeman though, looks like a great addition from the videos so far, as does Mark Little' And me. Those 2 went by more players in 3 minutes that my mate Wagstaff did all last season. Freeman's challenge was also something Wagstaff is incapable of. I'm hoping Ayling is good enough to play in a back 3 with Little as WB relegating Wagstaff to history.
I think to play this system requires a very strong Mascherano type in front of the defence, or preferably two Wagstaff is valuable because he covers 4 or 5 positions and he can do a reasonable job. Also he scores important goals. I imagine we will play Freeman and Jet behind Baldock with Pack, Smith and Elliott and a 4 man defence featuring Williams, Osbourne, Little and Ayling
Yes, difficult one. All I can suggest is that its a long season, often with injury, and that Cunningham will vie for a place. Having competition for places ensures the level of consistency needed for a promotion push. We have some nice options now
The great thing about our up team is we can be versatile, change to 3-5-2, 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1 and as you said we have competition for places all over the pitch, no one is allowed to get comfortable or rest on their laurels
Add me to the list of people that are very excited about Freeman. He looks the real deal already, although I really hope that he get some game time and isn't confined to the bench like Wynter was all season.
The time when Wynter was playing, i.e. the first half dozen games of last season, we looked strong in the middle and balanced. Then he was dropped (or injured) and the bottom fell off until Sir Cotts arrived. For me, the classy Wynter looks like a gem for the future. In fact its so bright.....I'm just going to put my sunglasses on
Wynter only played in 2 league games, the first game against Bradford, and Mk dons away where he played 10 for minutes Must admit I don't see Wynter is a potential star, the fact two managers have both left him out and no championship club came on for him is quite telling imo.. hope I am proved wrong though
