Struggling to figure out the starting formation, 3-5-2 Maybe? with Little and Cunningham at Wingbacks, with El-Abd, Williams, and Flint in the middle, Smith, Waggy and Freeman in middle of the park and Baldock and Jet up front do you think? or do you think of how they line up in the tweet that El-Abd is playing midfield?!??

I think Gabriel Bokhutlo broke one of the Bristol City player's leg and Bristol City decide to walk off the pitch

Nothing said on BCFC site or Stockhausen, but seems odd why he would say it

Well the tweets from BCFC say 81mins at 4.25 and full time at 4.36 so that doesn't imply that the game finished early so fingers crossed that isn't the case!

This is all very confusing and very worrying... seeing as he said it's a forward player and both JET and Baldock left the pitch as subs... Would think the club would have said something though.

It sounds like the Gunners were kicking lumps out of our players all game, turning it into a competitive match rather than a slight run around for 90 minutes

Exactly what I predicted as well and please tell me that we are not that desperate for a trophy that we risk our players with the season fast approaching. Yes I know the same thing could happen down the road locally but didn't anyone think that we might take a kicking out in the bush?

This has made our club look big and professionally ran Mike. I can't tell you the amount of tweets I've read from other clubs fans that are jealous of our south African tour. We were going to do a tour anyway so why not Africa? It's better than Portugal, Spain, Latvia etc where every tom dick and harry go!

Sadly I agree, what on earth are we doing there?? This was inevitably going to happen, crap pitches, getting the s**t kicked out of us by some crazy lunatics..The trip was more for team bonding and community work, but what help is going across the globe for a league 1 season??

    Why?

Not that inevitable ... African teams are often not radio rental. Watched football in the region and its very often slow, not that aggressive but overall poor.

Suprised by the dog of a pitch.

Pitches and sides are sometimes owned by agricultural companies e.g. Osarian and are decent enough.

The trip was more for team bonding and community work, but what help is going across the globe for a league 1 season?? None ... They are out there due to Uncle Steve L.

Wherever we do our pre season training, whoever we play, there is always the risk of injuries. I expect Osborne is feeling very sore this morning, but a cut / gash on the shin is not career threatening and after a couple of days rest, and with correct wound dressing, he will be able to continue his fitness build up to the new season.

So let us not become hysterical about Southern Africa or anywhere else we may go for training.

    Why?

The standard of football is poorer.

And every Tom, Dick and Harry from Bristol have not gone ... Minted gaggle from the 3 Lions .... And virtually nobody else.

    Did you say something?

Seriously Chief having been to Botswanna and its neighbours even in the middle of Savanah and Hunters binges I didn't think "City have to come here".

Like everywhere, or close to it football starts at Man Utd and ends with Barcelona ... There is no market to exploit.
