AIPAC sent 13,000 lobbyist activists to Washington last year to make sure the 3bn to Israel was not cut.

Democracy in action eh, fantastic. Racist apartheid war crimes human rights violations, the Geneva convention influenced by the treatment of Jews in WWII gets thrown out the window. But here, take this 3bn and we'll make sure the UN and NATO never do anything to stop you, but we'll send peacekeepers to defend your other border while you trash Palestine again.

AIPAC, no influence, I was told that by a historian<doh>

http://www.thejewishweek.com/blogs/political-insider/aipac-hill-dont-touch-israel-aid

Oh btw on the rockets into Israel, Israelis can get an app that alerts them to incoming rockets through the missile defence system if one is heading to their area. That's why you see them out watching the Gaza slaughter without much fear. Comparing that with the Israeli air force pounding unprotected civilians in a densely packed place, hitting them with missiles as a warning to flee, and just look at the map, where are they supposed to flee to?

Slaughtered those kids on the beach, they were hit with a missile and then a jet took them out. They were targeted, No heart felt BBC report from location of course like the funeral in Israel several weeks ago.

You mean like when Israel pulled out of Gaza in 2005? Then Hamas took over and Israel faced pretty much a constant stream of rocket fire until Cast Lead in 2007.

Israel could withdraw from all of Palestine, Jerusalem and half of Israel itself, disband its entire military, and agree to allow any Palestinians to move anywhere they liked in Israel, and Hamas would still attack them and try to destroy them. The Hamas charter calls for the replacement of Israel with an Islamic state - I wonder why the majority of the Israeli population support their government when it fights Hamas with overwhelming force.

I've said it before, not all Israelis are brainwashed into this racist hate

C4 News speaks to former IDF who normally never speak out. "ordered to cleanse Palestine"

What bollocks, you haven't a clue. In 2005, this was the case, not good auld Israel pulling out as you suggest
The daily beatings, humiliation, constant killings, racism, apartheid. Land being stolen for decades, how convenient you leave this out

It is not a valid argument to start off with Hamas firing rockets because Palestine is under siege and has been since 67. So tell me, when did Hamas come on the scene? Huh? After 2000, so for the other 33 years, what is the excuse?

What you also fail on is being informed.
When Israel "pulled out" in 2005 Israel continued to maintain complete control over the air and sea space of the Gaza Strip. No Palestinian could operate a seaport or an airport without Israeli approval, which limits Palestinians’ freedom of trade and travel. Israel continued to control the joint Gaza Strip-West Bank population registry, which means Israel got to decide who is a “Palestinian resident” and who is a “foreigner.” Palestinians must seek Israeli approval for every individual who wants to move to the West Bank.

The Rafah border crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt was supposedly turned over to the Palestinian Authority. In fact, Israel continued to control the crossing to the extent that it may bar entry to “foreigners”—that is, Palestinians who are not residents of the Occupied Territories—or anyone it deems a security risk.

Israel continued to maintain complete control of the movement of people and goods between the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, which Israel considered a “closed military area” off limits to anyone without a permit. West Bank residents were also forbidden from traveling aborad, including to the Gaza Striop, without a difficult-to-obtain Israeli permit.

As far as trade is concerned, Israel controlled the three crossing points in and out of Gaza (Karni, Sufa, and Kerem Shalom). Israel routinely closed the crossings to any exchange of goods, causing severe food and other shortages in Gaza.

Israel still controlled taxation and other levies in Gaza.

So, in short, you are talking bulls**t Swarbs.

The fact you condone such actions is disgusting. Wake up you fool, you believe a tailored version of history

More for the ignorant. This kind of thing happens, no real news on it and when Hamas fire back it's all over the news and idiots think they know something.

On June 8 2006 Israeli helicopters fired four missiles at a training camp in the southern Gaza town of Rafah, killing Jamal Abu Samhadana, the Palestinian government’s top security chief, and three other militants. Ten other people are wounded.

A day later an explosion on a beach in Gaza kills eight Palestinians, including a family with three children having a picnic.
Not a lot of news on these events, real news

On June 25, Hamas stages a raid on an Israeli outpost just outside Gaza and captures Gilad Shalit, a corporal in the Israeli Army Corps who holds French citizenship. Israel launches massive military raides in response, ostensibly to free Shalit. Hostilities quickly escalate. Israel imposes a blockade on Gaza, triggering a vicious cicle of slaughters and reducing Gaza to a humanitarian disaster unparalleled since 1967. This was big news, Hamas on the attack

It's clear to see it is not Hamas firing rockets for the hell of it. Dopes dont get it, Palestinians die, no news is reported and when Hamas fire back it hits the news and the history starts from that convenient point ignoring the salient points of why Hamas are firing rockets or attacking an outpost.

1. Did you know that prior to the three Israelis who were kidnapped, 2 Palestinian children in the West Bank were killed by Israeli military which was caught on camera?

2. Did you know that, until now, according to the Human Rights Watch and the US State Department, there is not one shred of evidence as to who kidnapped the three Israelis or why? The Kidnappers spoke Hebrew to the teens as heard on the phone call they made, that little bit of news has not been reported widely.

3. Did you know that the Israeli government knew almost as soon as they were kidnapped that the three were dead, but suppressed this info and placed gag orders on Israeli press?

4. Did you know that despite knowing that they were dead, the Israeli forces proceeded to conduct a series of illegal arrests across the entire West Bank under the pretext of a ‘hostage situation’ search for the missing three?

5. Did you know that during this illegal arrest-spree and military rampage detaining 566 Palestinians (which included underage children), the Israeli forces re-arrested the Palestinian prisoners who were released as part of the 2012 cease-fire agreement, thereby breaching it?

6. Did you know that the Israeli media stirred up so much hatred about the kidnapping that Israeli settlers attacked 16-year old Mohammed Abukhdeir, a resident of Jerusalem, who was found burned to death with traces of gasoline in his stomach, and ran over a 9-yr old girl?

7. Did you know that just 10 days before these Israeli soldiers were kidnapped, Hamas and Fateh had finally agreed to form a “Unity Government” (abiding by the terms of the US and the EU) which was comprised entirely of politically independent technocrats, not affiliated with either Fateh not Hamas?

8. Did you know that the formation of this new Palestinian Unity Government would (and already began to) place international pressure on Israel from the US and the EU to finally make concrete steps in the two-state solution?
This is the primary reason Israel brought it to where we are now

9. Did you know that the Gaza Strip has been under a naval, air and land blockade “حصار” for the past 8 years, which restricts citizens’ access to the sea (up until 6 nautical miles), restricts the type and amount of imports allowed in and exports allowed out, restricts amount of petrol/diesel/natural gas allowed to enter, and completely seals off the borders for all citizens’ travel with only sporadic and irregular openings, usually only for humanitarian cases or foreign nationals?

10. Did you know that most people in Gaza would want to continue fighting rather than to agree to a cease-fire that doesn’t guarantee they will be granted their basic human rights.

So there you have it, blame Hamas? Bollocks. Blame Palestinians? Bollocks.

Israel started this round of fighting intentionally to destroy more homes and force more people out because you are not allowed build a home in occupied territory with a permit, of which it is almost impossible for a Palestinian to get.

Israel has historically reneged on agreements, again the media don't report this little fact, so they can shift the blame on to Palestine for "being too darned stubborn to accept peace" which leads to stupid comments like "neither side wants peace"

Lovely way to get your points across.. Shout and swear at those that may have a difference of opinion?
With regards to Sisu's comments, not sure Sisu has said kill the Jews, no one would condone that! Loss of life isn't trivial or a political points scoring opportunity.
I guess he's putting across the other side of the story, any sane person can tell the media outlets here in the west appear to be heavily skewed in favour of pro-Israeli stories.
100s of women and children killed in Gaza is briefly touched upon yet a soldier missing is breaking news..
Israeli life isn't more variable than a Muslims, a Christians life isn't more valuable than a atheists, all life is precious and should be valued the same!

I ****ing hate Isreal, the sneaky slimey ****s. They have been given free will to do whatever the **** they want because if anyone object they just yell "muh holocaust". The ****s have the cheek to say that they want peace too and tried to make Hamas the bad guys for rejecting the truce. Well it's pretty ****ing easy to want a truce when you have already gotten everything you've wanted from an invasion. Isreal stole the land and yell injustice when Palestine inevitably wants the stolen land back. Disgusting country that is becoming just as bad as the Nazis.

Perhaps if israel turnes their anti missile system off and allowed them to hit targets in israel you would stop your anti Israel tirade?

Wasn't that actually an episode of South Park?

Anyway, Mel Brooks is a Jew, therefore Jews are alright, in my book. Without dragging whole races into this though, I think you can suggest that Israel's reaction is a tad overkill (no pun intended) without being a Nazi or, in my case certainly, not pro-Hamas.
