seems Marveaux is the first of the outcasts to be off according to Ryder and Douglas

not overly bothered myself never really did it in the premiership when given the few chances. and seemed to always be injured.

That's one of the two so called 'trouble makers' off the books.

Any amount of wages out will help if it means we can get that big CB signing or CF even.

Good news. Had plenty of chances but never really done it. Very injury prone and we can only assume he has had some issues behind the scenes.

Wish him the best but can't prentend this is not a good thing.

Hopefully his departure can contribute towards a CB and CF

If Pardew was any sort of coach he'd have got Marveaux to play centre half and that would have solved the problem.

Wish him well, but no loss on our part as he didn't really perform in the premier league.

He misunderstood what you meant jimmy and he's been 'centre back' to France

That is probably why he was Left Back in England when the rest of the squad went to New Zealand.

Can't agree that he had plenty of chances.

    From Wiki

Club Season League Cup[a] Europe Total
Apps Goals Assists Apps Goals Assists Apps Goals As Apps Goals Assists

    Newcastle United 2011–12 7 0 1 3 0 2 0 0 0 10 0 3
    2012–13 22 1 6 2 0 0 12 1 1 36 2 7
    2013–14 9 0 0 2 0 0 0 0 0 11 0 0
    Total 38 1 7 7 0 2 12 1 1 57 2 10

Not forgetting quite a few of the appearances were as substitute.

Do agree that he probably wasn't up to the Premier League but was a very good player and given more of a run he had the ability to make it but we will now never know.

Layout looks right when I'm typing!!

    2011/12 Games 10 Goals 0 Assists 3
    2012/13 Games 36 Goals 2 Assists 7
    2013/14 Games 11 Goals 0 Assists 0

How much is down to fitness issues though? That season in 2011/12 was almost entirely down to his fitness problems. He had hip surgery in the November. Even the year he played more games he limped off with groin and hamstring problems plenty. We have never been able to keep him fit. He was part of the horrific Christmas run in the horror season when we looked to be putting in half effort. He then broke down again in the April before the WBA game. He was injured in the autumn last season before reports emerged of not doing enough in training to earn the right. That is just a few examples of his time here.

I think the lad has some talent, I just think his mental fortitude is questionable and physically he never seemed to adapt to the different challenge which is widely acknowledged. That isn't solely down to his build because Nobby was very slight. He simply forced his way in by sticking at it and adapting. Some players just never do. He was never really good enough to get in the team bar the season we flirted with relegation. I also think he either doesn't look after himself or more likely has chronic problems (hence Liverpool knocked him back)

He made a total of 57 apps and I can't recall many of them making me think he was worth a starting berth. Certainly when the going got tough in games, he was one fo the first to go missing. Everyone sees it differently I suppose. I love a flair player, but I do think they have to have more than just the odd flash of brilliance. Once you add in his fitness issues, its a tough sell for me to believe he has somehow not had a fair crack.
