...... for a second season. http://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/Stok...-ticket-ride/story-21737716-detail/story.html
Not sure id be in favour of it here. We sell out nearly every away game, and whilst its a nice gesture why would we throw away guaranteed income? Stoke obviously have a poor away following and this is a ploy to boost numbers.
I want to get to some away games this season if possible, Something like this would guarantee I'd get to games. But then, where's the clubs incentive? We sell most of our away tickets.
They even provide free transport to West Brom, Villa etc which are local games. Is it so that the supporters are easily controlled and not making their own way, stopping off for drinks etc? TBH, you couldn't pay me to go to watch Stoke ......
Aye totally agree mate. Us and the Mags are the two best supported clubs away from home in the country. How many others can boast ours and their following after so many seasons of complete dejecture and failure - yet both sets of fans sell out constantly for away games. Not much incentive at all for the club to put on free buses.
We are a wide spread club with backing from all over the country, granted a lot of our support for away games come from local lads in the NE, the rest are snapped up by fans that live in london, the midlands, liverpool etc Its a nice gesture but something we can afford not to do
Great gesture. Whilst I agree it may not work for us stuck up here in the wild north-east, surely some sort of thanks from the club to our travelling fans would be good PR. What about food vouchers and a complimentary programme? Just a thought x
as an away supporter in the main all i require from safc is a team that shows up on a more regular basis with players who gives it all for the club and us supporters who travel many miles to cheer them on.
Problem with this is ALS/Seventy3 etc etc do buses to away games and this is how they get some income to keep their business going So would rather help local communities by paying a little bit
A comment by a 1st class ****wit NO offence but it was our best ever and highest finish. So if Sunderland offered FREE transport you are saying you wouldn't use it? Remind me where you were most of last season. Oh yeah bricking it and slagging your team off!
I specifically posted that comment to see which bellend would be the first to bite ....... your prize is in the post Could I pay you to go to watch Sunderland, West Brom, Villa, Hull, Burnley? Of course not. Idiot.
They needed slagging off at times, and Smug was one of the most consistent optimists, so what's it got to do with the price of a vase?
Does anybody know how many away games we sold out last season? I was under the impression it wasn't that many, I know we didn't sell out at Chelsea, Man City etc.
