I suppose alot of you are familiar with this whole Craig Thomson story?

For those of you who dont.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-13918842

Anyways, do you think this fella should be sacked? I think he bloody well should, a footballer on the sex register! Absolutley outrageous. The guy should either get sacked, or terminate his contract himself. And straight after that, place his John Thomas in a guillotine. Cant imagine I'd want a player who's on the sex register in my squad if I was a manager of a football team. Especially with all this 'family friendly' m'larky we have in football today.

Scottish football eh? It's a joke!

Crazy that they even have to be 'urged' to do it.

    Why sack him...???

He's just like any other ***** in the world, he just happens to be a footballer... If this guy was just a office worker would you call for his sacking? Most likely not, just because he's a footballer doesn't make him any different from the thousands of other *****'s who have no doubt kept their jobs since been put on the sex offenders register!

Plus Marlon King was one incident, not defending what he did, also he went to Birmingham just before McLeish left 4 Villa.

He's more in the public eye than an officeworker though is he not? An example should be made out of lad. Hearts should take a strong stance on this.

He's in the public eye though (well.. reasonably.. it is Hearts). If some TV presenter or in Scotland was done for being a *****phile he wouldn't expect to keep his job for much longer. I dunno if they have contracts in the TV world where if you get caught touching kids or sending dodgy pictures to them it means you're automatically out of there, but basically to save face a big company in the public eye would get rid. Are kids going to go to the matches and cheer this guy on? Seems a bit odd.

Being in the public eye means nothing and any job in the world could throw up the possibility of interaction with children. All I'm saying is why should he be sacked just because he's a footballer he really isn't any different from any other *****.

Not over the internet, anyone can make themselves look older in the stupid profile picture thingy mobobbys.

So unless the age was stated then it is hard to judge.

I do see where you're coming from of course. But I do think public eye matters and I stick by my TV presenter analogy to show what I mean. I'm not on a let's all burn the ***** rant here at all, mainly I'm surprised that Hearts haven't considered this to be bad for public relations. It's happened plenty of times before that a TV presenter has been done for something in his private life and been sacked right away by his/her employer to avoid bad PR. I'm mostly surprised that Hearts don't want to react the same way rather than risk having a backlash to this.
