Only been to one airport in the UK... one I flew out of England on to emigrate. Manchester... The airport itself wasn't bad... the city around it is crap though!

That was pre- 9/11 but I remember the security there being way more competent than any in the US. Of course... the IRA was still somewhat around then.

Other than two Atlantic trips- my flying has been strictly in the Eastern Hemisphere- US and Mexico.

 

Manchester airport was decent the last time I went, just a pain in the arse getting to it.
