I'd value someone voicing their opinion over someone stating stats every day of the week. It means they watch the game rather than read numbers.
Maybe those chances were **** because he took the wrong option? Maybe there was a pass on that would have developed a better chance?
We've already discussed one-off stats. Keep up moderator Although I do have to point out... football is about winning games... and Di Maria did win the game for them... and him giving the ball away didn't matter... so really...
And I'd value someone voicing their opinion from watching games and looking at stats. Why are you assuming they're mutually exclusive?
Maybe they were. Maybe the one's created by the other German attacking midfielders (the ones who didn't manage to create as many) were also s**t because they took the wrong option too... maybe there were passes on for them that would have developed better chances too?
You've made my point for me. You assess a game or a player by what you see, not by stats. They tell a very limited story.
I haven't made any point for you. I was mimicking a nonsensical argument which didn't come across well in the medium of typed text.
