Good to see that large red crane up in the NE corner indicating that the two extra bays are about to go up. <ok>

Concrete staging going in on the 3 bays at the Vic Road end.
Diggers still playing in their sandpit at the old Main Stand extension.

I wonder where it is all coming from. Does CrossRail come out this way? ;)

Ex gravel pit. Concrete cancer in existing foundations, all got to go. Bad ground = deep piles. On a decent slope, homes nearby.... it all adds up. I think they've done well to get as far as they have in the time.

    Exciting!

You have to wonder where all that rubble is coming from - the pile has doubled since yesterday's 'close of play' pic.

I hear the Russo brothers have asked for a piece 1m x 2m, some spades a pickax and no-one about for an evening to make their contribution to the new stand.

Be glad to see them dig their own hole and jump in it, they are experts after all. Wouldn't want Bassini in the hole, all the hot air would be bound to disrupt the foundations...

It is and always will be. They can't straighten in now it's supporting the stand. It had to be angled to avoid a part of that old right section of the stand which they could not demolish until the new part was built.

I was going to suggest that bullshit would not make a strong foundation - but Aberdeen beat me to it. And said it in a more diplomatic manner.
