you may have put it in as a joke, but seriously the list worries me, as there is not a lot of experience accept maybe Hart, or rooney who i don't think is good enough for it personally, but sadly the most likely option. Terry would make sense from the point of view of he has genuine leadership qualities, problem is its surely a short term option, as i doubt he will be going to the euros or the next world cup. makes sense in that he can lead by example and teach someone who hopefully will be good enough to take over, but it will go to rooney when bbc salford and sky start running it and get the support for him going in the press etc.
#itbegins http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28413295 Wayne Rooney should be England captain, says Sven-Goran Eriksson
i like the bar graph used to show goals scored, well how the **** does that fit joe hart lol, include clean sheets or key interceptions would have been a bit fairer or not include goals at all, considering the other option is a defender as well, oh silly me bbc salford, take it back
If you look at the squad Joe Hart is the only one that really stands out as natural captain material Unless Terry or Cole get brought back in
The bookings, dismissals and win percentage scream "not Rooney" Change the goals to goals at finals and Joe Hart is looking pretty competitive
It has to be Hart. He will start when fit. Rooney should be fighting for his place. In some years Henderson might be captain like he was for the England U21s
i cant remember where he has gone, is it the states? if so unlikely, as its just one last big payday and no going back, ie defoe, as the league i think is pretty poor at the moment in comparison to the competition you face in leagues in europe.
indeed, a goalie not striker, would only have to score 1 goal to be even with a supposed world class player
This with bells and knobs on (a bit like that list really) If I had to pick one it'd probably be Hart or Jag
I dunno.... I quite think that despite his unsuitability cahill would be a shout given engurlund loves a dirty cheating fouler like him... its "bravery" and "character" Oh and lets all admit one thing right now. gerrard aint a great captain, never was he was a figure head who used to drag LFC along via inspiration and he's done the job so long its an institution and lfc fans no longer seem to question it. I have lost count fo the times l've looked at him and thought... yeah he's not up for this.... under hodgson is a great example... in short get gerrard to REALLY believe you get 11 games win in a row.. his head drops or he goes off on one (cheslea to palace to newastle) you're done. a great leader always believes and drives a side on. its like lineker being england captain.. thats a joke..
and i thought wenger had retire 8 years before imagine my shock when he bribed a ref to get one final cup.
dear oh dear the quality of wummery from the arsenal board has gone down hill a lot. disappointed in that bit of banter... I was hoping for a good un but all we've got is a rather obvious cliche tosser...
haha says the 'tosser' who accuses Wenger of bribing a ref to win a trophy. Is there any point in trying to crack jokes/ banter with such an imbecile!?
