That was probaly Obilić from Belgrade, late 1990's. The owner was Arkan leader of a Serb special forces unit called the tigers, Assinated shortly afterwards outside the hotel Yugslavia in Belgrade. His wife Ceca is a famous ( in the balkans ) singer.
She was in the news recently, as the owner of another football club but lives across the road from the Red Star Belgrade stadium, some Red Star hooligans were picking on her son ( he is about 20 ) and she came out to defend him.

Czech out the excellent beer in some of the great brew pubs. Meals are very cheap in Prague.

Flying with JET2...came to £225 overall but I'm only taking hand luggage. Going to stay in hostels on the nights to keep the price down unless there are some cheap b&b's etc

Imperial tiger, you'd have got laughed at for asking where the clubs are because, out in Europe, club is the word they tend to use for brothels! Which I found out at my own expense. When I had my lass with me <laugh>

If you want to go to a club like we know them, you ask for a disco.

Certainly you have to be careful between asking for nightclub (seems to be strip joint and probably brothel as well) and discotheque (seems to be nightclub for most european nations).

We got laughed at because the patrons of the cafe seemed to think we were asking where Atlantis was. I'm sure there are discotheques in Vienna but it was an alien concept to people in that cafe. The cafes did serve beer and seem to stay open until late so it wasn't all bad. We'd found a club in Geneva that was rammed and playing salsa. Went back a couple of days later (when it was house) and the place was dead. It's times like these that you realise the cultural differences around europe.

City are expecting the stadium and allocation to be confirmed later today, so we should know the score shortly.

Hopefully that Stadion in Zilina, we'll get a respectable allocation then and all who want to go should get a ticketo.

Good luck. Glad that you have a provision for our game being in Serbia ? 5-0 turn-a-round anyone ?

Seriously it is going to be fun. For the record take both euros and usd. Beer prices especially are most helpful. Lol.<ok>

Was going to post the link for the Official package but this site won't let me right click.

The package is on the official site.

Does anyone know if this is just fly out for the match and fly back straight after?

That would probably suit me best, time is my biggest problem. Looking increasingly likely I'll have to go early Wednesday and come back late Friday if I can get a ticket, which really is too long.

Also, it seems people who book on there are given priority on tickets. It reads as if non pass holders going via that trip will take priority over pass holders getting themselves there and buying a ticket seperately.

It says on the link that season pass holders will get priority on bookings, I expect they'll do something similar with ticket only sales.

In Prague near the Charles Bridge there is a shop that sells Russian wooden nesting dolls painted in the colors of football teams if you are interested in unusual and appropriate souvenirs. They keep up to date with the latest kits but you would be probably too early to get the latest Hull City AFC Tigers kits but you never know. There are several nested inside one another and each one has a different name and the appropriate shirt number. I have been twice now and have two sets from different years.

Sorry for the late reply fatty, didn't notice this before.

It's bollocks. Squads have to be registered before the round and can't be changed until the next registration period, which I think are between each qualifying round, before the group stage (end of summer transfer window) and before the knockouts (end of January window). Not entirely sure on those times, but you definitely can't change your squad at all midway through a round.

That road is Karlova (Charles Street) if memory serves me correctly. Walk along Karlova away from Charles bridge and you'll cross a road called Husova (Goose Street) which has on it the famous pub Zlateho Tygra (Golden Tiger). Worth a pint in there although they only serve 500ml glasses of pilsner urquell (unpasteurised) and it was about 40Kc (about £1.30) last time I was in there. They give you a tally sheet for a bill and just keep bringing you more when your glass is empty (you need to put a beer mat on top of your glass to stop them).

For something a little bit different, where you poor your own beer, (I'd love to see it in the UK) you can try this chain. I've only been in the one in Liberec but you don't need to queue at the bar and the wall had a screen showing how many pints each table had drank.

There's a bar in Leicester where you pour your own beer. Bit pricey but its a lovely little place, really old building and all.
