So, who do we think are the candidates? Mine at this stage would be...... Most at risk; Swansea - Lost five key personal, a couple more to follow and already rumours of a unsettled dressing-room regarding Monk. Burnley - Despite keeping the squad together, spirit alone may not be enough to keep Seans lads above the line. Aston Villa - Up for sale, OAP investment policy or any player with no fee. Another tough season for Lamberts boys. WBA - Although financial backing from the board, I can see another quick fire firing for Irvine & a pending relegation battle. In a fight; Saints - With so much change over such a short period, I find it hard to believe we won't be in a fight to survive this coming season. Qpr - Can't be as bad as last time, surely? Leicester - In the mix, but grinding the 6 pointers. Hull - Some good new additions, but Thursday night footy to take its toll. Surprise mid table finishers; Palace & West Ham - both clubs should be happy with their summers so far. How do you see it panning out in these early stages?
I really don't see Leicester going down. Around 13th for them, I think. I think it'll be... Villa, Albion and Burnley. Swansea in a bit of battle, us slightly less so. Not sure about QPR but suspect they'll be fine. Hull could regress. Don't rate their signings all that much and as you say, Thursday games will take their toll.
I think there might be a period in the season where we slide a bit and people get a bit twitchy but I think we'll be fine. Somewhere around 11th-14th.
WBA, QPR and Burnley to go down, with Swansea,Leicester and West Ham finishing just above the drop. Think Villa, Palace and Hull will be pretty safe, and expect us to be battling with Stoke and Sunderland to finish 9th -11th.
Liverpool at risk they have too many players they will be like Qpr the season before Tothenham in a fight because of their many managerial changes in the upcoming season
It will be a dog fight for us this coming season; especially if we lose Morgan on top of the others (including Lovren). As for the other teams you have posted, l do think the newbies are all at risk along with Villa and WBA. Agree Palace should be okay and the hammers have added some depth to their squad. Hull is an interesting one, its difficult to know how they will do. They will be well organised and will be hard to beat. Swansea, like us, have been gutted of the core of their team. Hard times for them too.
With the squad we are building I can see us finishing 8th or 9th. Villa and WBA to go down. Undecided on the third.
The table will finish as so: Chelsea City Man United Arsenal Liverpool Spurs Everton Newcastle Southampton West Ham Stoke Swansea Palace Leicester Hull QPR Sunderland Villa WBA Burnley
With all the changes in players and tactics its a bit of a guess how things are going to go. Main thing is once all the rats have left is to get behind Ron and the new boys and I am sure given time we will be ok.
Sunderland west spam and burnley for me... If sunderland pay 15 mill for borini that must be a big chunk of their transfer budget for a mediocre player...
Am I missing something? Who have Swansea lost apart from Davies and Michu (who hardly featured last year). I know there is talk of Bony going but Liverpool seemed the main link and now they have got Remy I don't think they will go back for Bony. Oh and Vorm, but Fabianski is better than him anyway. Anyway here is my predicted table Chelsea City Arsenal Man Utd Spurs Liverpool Everton Stoke Newcastle West Ham Palace Sunderland Swansea Hull Leicester Saints QPR Villa WBA Burnley
