Alright he's going to be ****, worst signing of all time. Now you can expect me to celebrate him even working out which side of the pitch he should be on
We've got a decent record when it comes to full backs from the Celtic fringes: Bale needs no introduction, Carr was our best player for a few years, Kelly has had a good career (even though he didn't get a fair shake after graduating from our academy) and Gunter's found his niche - while Hutton is the exception that proves the rule. The second coming of Carr would be fine with me.
Each deal has been worked on separately pal. Though if you combined all together, you'd be closer to £5m-£7m plus Gylfi
I haven't seen any reports that claim that, though they're probably all a little inaccurate. Most of them seem to think that the Davies and Sigurdsson transfers are basically a swap, while Vorm's price ranges from £3.5m to £5m. Seems a little cheap to me. Bony's name has been thrown out, too. Rumours that Liverpool were interested, but only for roughly what Swansea paid for him in the first place. We're supposed to be closer to Swansea's £19m valuation. Might all be journalist crap, though.
The last I saw was on SSN saying that we had opened talks with Vorm, but he was concerned about how much playing time he would get.
I'm glad for him to be going back to where he wanted to go. The two things that stood out while he was here was that he was always able to produce goals at a good clip, and had an excellent attitude. The consensus was that he didn't do enough other than score and assist to start. He was similar to dos Santos, to me. Both have one excellent foot which will produce goals, and one other good attribute: dribbling for Gio and professionalism for Gylfi. Whatever you may think of either, they'll chalk up a good number of goals and assists if you start them.
Agree, which is why I'll be over the moon if and hopefully, when, we sign him, not to mention he will add some much needed height in our midfield.
He`ll probably be first choice this time next year when Lloris has been sold by Levy for £30m or so.
With our talented and packed midfield, something had to give, and Siggy is probably the weakest of those that were in the frame. Sad to see him leave so early in his career with us, but I won't be crying in my sleep over it.
Steve Bruce has claimed that hull have enquired about a couple of players, but rose isn't one of them.
I bumped into a couple of lads from the Japanese spurs fan club a few weeks ago. The one lad had been in London for 10 days. Not only had he seen spurs home and away including in europe, and been to qpr to watch tom corroll and benny, but he'd been up to hull just to watch tom huddlestone play ! quality.
