Obviously We all know it was Rooney who cost England the wc

 

I dont care when he costs the RS the title. But I do care when his mistake booted England out of the World Cup. I hope this remains in his conscience.

This England team had the most RS players for a very long time and also the crappiest for a long time too. This is no coincidence...

 

But shouldn't world class Rooney take responsibility for not carrying his team to the final single handedly?

 

Hows he suppose to do that with a team full of overrated Liverpool players??

Maybe cost England the Uruguay game.
But there were two other group games that England f**ked up without Slippy G's direct involvement.

Stevie G had two decent games in 100 caps: Andorra, 07 and Germs, 11.

Think of the stinkers: France 04, Portugal 06, Germany 10, Italy 12, Uruguay 14 etc

 

That's what world class players do, lift those around them to New levels, Suarez did it with the same overrated Liverpool players lol

 

Didn't Gerrard do exactly that to win a CL in 2005...?

 

He did, and he was a top player back then (maybe not a top, top player )........kidding.
But he seems to have lost that youthful glint he had in his eye, that passion.
Now he seems old beyond his years and a tad...dare I say....bitter.

It is a small shame to see him go without a Premier League winners medal, but there are many great players who have played in the PL who never got one, Zola, Ginola, Klinsmann, Dennis Wise ,

 

Aye, plenty of others too - Carragher, McManaman, Fowler, Hyppia, Alonso and even Michael Ow...oh hang on, he got the one he deserved in the end

 

Lets not forget his brilliant assist for Zidane? Another international tournament he cost us.

 

Yes we would definitely won that comp had it not been for that assist.

 

Rooney cost us the tournament for letting himself be injured by Portugal in the QF.

 

We would have won everything if it wasnt for that pesky steve.

 

Ah well, now he's gone we look forward to our unstoppable glory in Euro 2016 and World Cup 2018.
