never been to denver but..... question: why do american airports in general have nasty nasty carpet every where it darkens the place. my top american airport is atlanta my worst is newark but chicago is a close second.
Not been to Newark... but I can't imagine an airport worse than Chicago! Atlanta's is decent... I've found smaller airports are frequently more pleasant than larger ones- so it is impressive that Atlanta isn't a cesspool like Chicago. Detroit's is surprisingly OK too! Washington Dulles is a steaming pile of poo too.
what i'll say is there's little to eat thats decent. the toilets ALL stink and there are too few. the security is complete crap. i do totally agree however, smaller airports are 1000 times better. detriot i went through once and got an awful shock... its a delta hub so was all smiley happy helpful staff... i went through dulles last time. better than the others but not by much. my list has been jfk newark atlanta richmond charlotte philidelphia washington chicago detriot las vegas san diego lax syracuse
Favourite US airports to least: Columbia Orlando Greenville-Spartanburg Salt Lake Atlanta Detroit Madison Charlotte Pittsburg Dulles Chicago Ummm... can't think of any others I've been to... any others I've been too were not memorable one way or another. I was at a small one south west of Chicago once (don't recall name)- but never got off the plane... we were circling for so long waiting to land at Chicago- we ran out of fuel and had to go to a nearby airport to land... refill... take off again- so that we could spend another hour circling around Chicago waiting to land.

I don't like Birmingham or Manchester mainly because of the traveling to and from them Not been to any other UK airport though
