    Roy Keane : the ultimate professional. Single handedly dragged us to japan and korea in 2002 (and got kicked out for criticism of the warm up camp)

    Hes the one player we never had that I would have loved to see at Liverpool in his prime. :(

    you do know if he had played for us he wouldn't have gotten away with half the ****e he has done, pretty similar to the bollocks about oh bless its only scholes he cant tackle any way, doesn't matter he was a dirty ****!!

    i liked his attitude, but he got away with a lot of it because of who he played for, played for us and dif story.

    Gregor Rioch, he used to play for Hull City about 17 years ago. He was a fat bastard, but he never stopped running and sprayed the ball around well. He was the player Charlie Adam should have been.

    what a great question, i think i could split this into 3.

    1. present player: messi without a doubt.

    2. all time prem; henry i agree with kops n'robbers. really was quite special and i'd toss a coin between him and henry

    3. all time ever: i would say.... hmmmmm.... pele for longevity etc.

    Zidane is absolutely my favourite player ever. Still not seen a player with the quality of touch that he had. Genius isn't an understatement although over used for many other players these days.

    Closely followed by fat Brazilian Ronaldo. Most complete forward I've ever seen, he could do it all.
