My mate didn't mention an actual name for 'the big one'. He just said Rodgers will if the right player is available.
Seriously, if we did sign Robben (I'm not saying it's on, before anyone starts) I'd have to rearrange my whole mindset on him. He's a great player, but just seems such an irritating twat. I actually like Suarez- complete raving nutjob though he is, he just seems like an uncontrollable, overgrown kid to me, with no real malice in him. Robben is something else.
A 30 year old for big money? I doubt this will happen. Anyway, if we bought him, Shaqiri would never come!!
My point is if Sakho gets injured, who ever plays LCB may be uncomfortable there. But Agger would be most comfortable. Skrtel, Toure, Ilori and Lovren all player on the right. I may be wrong about Lovren but he better play well at RCB!
Fair enough, wasn't very clear IMO but others seem to have understood I believe Lovren can play either side.
Let me reword...... Your insider knowledge regarding said footballing rumours seem to be consistently disappointing me....
I absolutely agree... he is a diving ninny and not the most enjoyable person... an absolute true talent though! He has a silly run- he should join Monty Python's embassy of silly runs. Didn't he already agree to sign elsewhere this summer? Does it really matter if you have a left footer at RCB and vice versa? I know a lot of people want a left footed LCB and a right footed RCB- but there have been plenty of players who did well in the role without having the correct foot- and people didn't seem to worry about which foot they used as much 10 years ago as they do today! Surely it only makes a small margain of difference. No-one ever makes a fuss about a left footed LCM as opposed to a RCM when playing two centre-mids. As a right-footer, I always felt more comfortable at LCB myself for some odd reason- not that it mattered , I could play either. (I'm only 5'11" so not an ideal Centre back anyway... even if I wasn't carp!!!!).
