Daily Star also reporting we will be in for Rose this week. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/fo...Hull-in-for-Dany-Rose-Palacios-to-leave-Stoke From reading spurs fan forums they seem to think they have far to many people in their squad. They seem happy to let Rose go just as they were with Dawson. It seems to them that they probably told us Rose was available since Dawson basically wont leave.
I think you will find that player in general who played in the world cup will start slowly afterwards, as it is a relatively short time since it finished, and it will take time for them to get back to their best levels.
Agree, 6 mill too much. Don't see the point of baulking at 4 mill for Robertson; whom I regard as a better prospect, then paying more for Danny boy...
Rose is OK but not worth £6M, it concerns me his defensive qualities, he is more a wing back than a defensive LB.
Exactly my thoughts. Although if Bruce plans to use him as a wing-back he doesnt have to be an excellent defender.. Id prefer Taylor either way.
I watched him before the world cup as well not just their last 2 games. He is still good for MLS standards but not our standards. Their offence doesnt really involve him anyway which is why I can see them wanting to loan him out. Basically the ball comes from the D up to Henry who distributes it to Bradley Wright-Phillips(who has 17 goals). There is very little variation to their attack as its the MLS and defenders tend to be quite poor. Can you imagine if he was still PL standard that an MLS team would be ignoring him on the pitch? Cahill is only involved sporadically at best. His best is simply not good enough for us anymore. I also think there is nothing in it, and I doubt very much any team will be in for him.
Seems that we have tabled a bid of 6 mill for Rose. Tottenham are waiting to see if anyone will bid higher before they accept. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...-battle-to-sign-Tottenham-defender-Danny-Rose
They knew we were linked some time ago and now Spurs and Pocc are getting closer to Davies from Swansea, the journo's are doing a 2+2=Santiago.
Just me that'd be happy with Rose then? I like him. Liked him even more when he pissed Stokes fans off last year by doing **** all wrong.
BBC Humberside Sport ‏@HumbersideSport 26m Steve Bruce on future transfers: "We've got 1 or 2 irons in the fire. I expect us to be a bit more active in the next 5...6...7 days" #hcafc He really does love the saying "irons in the fire".
