Ugh, that's not fun. I think it happens in the public sector (especially the probation service when I worked there) all the time. Temp does a job for months or even years, goes for a permanent job when it's advertised, doesn't get it and then has to train their replacement.

I was never going for the job permanently though. This kind of thing isn't really me. Still, it was good to find a job where I could dick around on here half the day for three months.

I've got a Skype interview for a graduate job tomorrow. Anyone got any suggestions for questions I could ask, when the time comes?

I know the bog standard one to always ask is about career progression, but I'm guessing there's more.

Ask about getting support (paid time off, fees paid etc.) for study for further qualifications. Shows you're keen to advance yourself. Stress that you don't mind contributing to fees. Do a bit of research into the company and see if they have any ongoing or planned developments and ask about those, to show you have an interest in what they do.

Ask what their favourite and least favourite aspects are of working in the company.

Also, if you're feeling confident (it's good to do this), toward the end, ask if having spoken to you, there's anything they are still unsure about or aren't convinced about regarding your application. Promise you, that works.

It's pretty good. I was never a Halo guy but this seems to be better, dunno if I'll buy it at full price but I'm enjoying it playing around on the Beta.

Yeah I never liked Halo either, but like Destiny. It's so easy to just pick up and play.

In terms of smaller acts I was really impressed with San Fermin, Glass Animals and Valerie June.

Crystal Fighters were fantastic as was Damon Albarn (he brought out Graham Coxon for his encore). BBC, Lily Allen, Tame impala and Black keys were all pretty good. Popped in to see loads of others as well. Only one I was disappointed with was George Ezra (who admittedly I hadn't listened to much but I'd heard good things) nice bloke but a very underwhelming set.

Saw Simon Amstell who was fantastic and Milton Jones who's set was 45 minutes of fantastic one liners.

Yeah Ezra's an interesting one. Good voice, but I fear more hype than substance at the moment, then that's how it often goes with these things. Give him time.

Nick Griffin has resigned as BNP leader, but will be made a President of the party.

Bloke called Adam Walker, who is bound to be a total ****er, is the new leader.
