Well, there i was thinking he was gone and on his way to becomi8ng the messiah as predicted by DT, but like the proverbial bad penny... Anyway, I had a think about this and there are 2 reasons he should possibly stay with us. The first is for this forum. We've had fights and arguments in the past but whilst he was here, it seemed there were more people posting and joining in on subjects, so Im hoping it would increase our numbers again. Secondly, we are now back in the Prem and relegation is a distinct reality if we are all honest. So following that, then this is going to be a long hard season with plenty of ifs, ands & downers. The Harry out club are going to go into overdrive if we arent top by Xmas and Rio's haterz are gona have a field day, so, we need some humour from somewhere to keep us all sane. I would suggest that the humour will be supplied by the fully paid up memeber of the "I love Adel Club" with thier quite amazing excuses and reasons that he didnt play well every week. Classics like "The team dont care" "he the best in the world" "he'l be running the show at Barca" should be posted, along with the " the rest of the team arent good enough""no-one was moving for him" and "he's not fat it looks like muscle to me" should be enough to keep me in fits of laufghter during our relegation battle this season. So its "Come home Adel, we need a laugh" from me and lets keep the banter going Have fun lads and keep the faith PS, sorry i couldnt get the word "gel" in there anywhere...
I'll bit then.... Said it before... but he is the classic QPR no 10.... Bowles etc - I know it's been all said 100 times before - but at the end of the day it is all about entertainment and character... and I agree he will give us lots of talk about either way. Come on Adel - prodigal.
Lala, we all know how good he "could be if..." and thats not up for debate. Im just pointing out that the funniest thing about the whole sorry saga is the quite incredibly ingenious excuses afforded to him when he plays worse than SWP. Even you have to admit there have been some shockers in his defence ?! I love to laugh and in what looks like a dreary upcoming season, its just entertainment as you said
I think he should stay because he is a good dribbler, he scores goals, he has no hair and a wonky smile.
There was a time when I was peed off at him but I still don't want him anywhere near our club until he trains as hard as everyone else and takes his own career seriously.
......because without him we don't have a number 10/ playmaker/creative force. If we get some alternatives in before the end of the window I'll reconsider.
Which other player currently on books do you think best fits the number 10 role, aside from Taarabt. I know there's not much to choose from. Faurlin? Hoilett?
I am not worried either way as very confident on his on field ability Off the field he has to live with his own actions like anyone else I rarely saw him let our club down when he wore the shirt When you read rumours that Harold is looking at Van der Vaart it again shouts to me that Harold is living in a bubble of memories
At the moment we need him to stay, we struggled to create many chances in the Championship last season and in the Premier league it is only going to be harder. The only reason he should be let go is if there are quite major changes in tactics, mindset or personnel for this season.
Last season Adel wandered off, we brought in O'Neil and Kevin Bond lamented that 'we lack creativity'. A clean slate (yet again) for Adel to prove us right / wrong. He is QPR, isn't he?
â¦. because it saves him from his true calling in life; marine studies in Antarctica, feeding krill and zooplankton to killer whales via tiny pipettesâ¦.
Anyone who, like me, actually sat through all of the dross tactical football last season are surely desperate for the return of some flair to the side. That said, while I will always be forgiving of such players, I find it hard to forget about how that arsehole Robbie Savage so easily psyched him out a couple of years back. Sadly I doubt he will ever be mature enough to deal with the Premier League.
This is bothering me too. However IF he is staying with us and IF he plays much better than i think he will. Then i will be more than happy to be wrong.
I don't know if you said that in jest Queensy but I was just thinking about that the other day. I actually think W-Phillips played well for us last season before he was bombed out by Redknapp. Compared to what Tarratubby served up the season before, I think he's played better in that period, albeit at a lower level. The state of him in the preseason tests doesn't bode well either but its hardly a surprise.
