Aware of these factors, just quoting today's so-called 'breaking news'.

It'll most likely be somewhere between £16-20m with a certain number of add ons being the subject of negotiation.

Your opinion on his value considering only his talent?

    Yawn, love you too.

Worried about the number of players.

Worried about the lack of defensive signings.

But looking at the players themselves:

Lambert - don't see the point but will chip in
Can - exciting, good player and better prospect
Lallana - great player, not the best value but will add depth. Vanity buy maybe but again should be a success.
Remy - big improvement on Borini and great value
Lovren - good player, bad price - but might become a 'great' CB of CL quality. Will have to wait.
Moreno - if he signs he'll be a good addition but would rather R. Rodriquez or Rojo.
Markovic - big talent but a big risk

Difference with Spurs last season is we've signed 4 players who've proven themselves in the PL. Would like one 'big' signing though as although we've made our squad much stronger, we need to replace Suarez's fear factor (and try to approach replacing his talent).

It's all up in the air really... our signings should work but realistically only time will tell.

Not just his talent, but his ****ish behaviour put him up a couple of million.

He's a solid, pretty impressive centre-back. Wasn't really the same after his injury though.

Pro's: Good tackler, mobile, good distribution
Con's: Can get sucked into the game and make some pretty rash decision

£16m would be a fair deal for both parties, most likely, but as we don't want to sell I think £20m is good for us. Not sure he's worth that, though.

You forgot he switches of randomly in some games. But yeah he is a good player.

No-one likes him after he sneakily manipulated and disrespected the club through media to force a move. If it's 20m+ as our information leads us to believe it is then we got a great deal. Especially after the story that your lot decided 8.5 was too much last year.

Pretty much what I said about him before he joined us. :) I can even find that post, it in the 'Saint Dejan' thread.

Just replied to everyone but it's a page back now <yikes>

Yeh when I read his comments I tweeted something along the lines of it being terribly disrespectful. Not what we want to see and certainly hope LFC have a word with him.

Fully believe (remember him linking himself to us last season) that he always planned to do this, whether to LFC or another club.

Come off it. Dejan disrespecting his club won't bother Liverpool in the slightest. The club did defend a racist chomper after all.

Mmm the bites were completely unacceptable but I don't buy the racist remark. The club/player should've gone to court. When you look at the evidence + Suarez's family and culture it doesn't add up. Plus he seems to have plenty of friends of all colours and creeds.

Lots of people do stupid things in the heat of the moment. Doesn't need to have a pattern of racist behaviour, just the wrong situation and a short fuse.

Hmm, don't know about that. If I become angry at someone during an argument I don't start randomly throwing racial slurs around...

Guessing you didn't read it has add ons that go to 20m. But carry on being negative.

I don't think that's right. I know both have been quoted but Lovren said so himself that Liverpool bid £20 million. We may have just accepted the £20 million in the end, highly doubt we settled for less then what was originally bid.

Surely taking the first offer made more sense! Accepting 16mill(which probably won't be paid upfront), then taking 4 mill in add ons is pretty daft imo
