Well I'd think the sponsors would be happy we got rid of Suarez so they're probably ok. We don't have any media so makes no difference to them...

  3. Not convinced with the sponsors bit. Yes, they wouldn't be overly keen on being linked to Suarez but they would want to be linked to a well known name or a world star.

Would be interesting to see our bench for the first game of this season versus it for the first game of last season. It means nothing unless they actually perform of course but if value and last seasons form is anything to go by, it's going to be just like it used to be.....real strength in depth.....just how it ought to be at LFC <ok>

Should we not <whistle> compare the bench six games in? After all first game last year had no Suarez on it either on it's face lfc will have a better line up on day one than last year, barring injuries of course

  8. Or use last seasons "average"...?

How do you average the quality of lfcs bench over the course of a season?

Is this players who appeared most on bench or what?

Just checked and Lucas, Aspas and Toure started against Villa last year <yikes> maybe we should look at our bench for the last game of last season!!

    Yeah.
Who started the most games in each position
Who started on bench most times

Then you have the most common starting 11
    and most common bench

**** if im going through the teams working it out though :)

Save you some time.... Jones, toure, Moses. After that you've a choice of agger or sahko then Alberto or Allen and then really sterling or coutinho when sturridge was fit again

Anyone offer anything else or go to the bother of a full analysis which I'm sure can be googled some place

In short if our bench game one is reina, agger, wisdom, Enrique or Flanagan, can, then a choice of coutinho, sterling or markovic and lambert then in theory is a bit better now

Feel like we are wasting a lot of money this summer.

He's a good player but is he better than what we already have?? Unless you include Toure! £20m does seem a lot but BR really wanted him.....Can't believe that he's going to sit on the bench at that price either! I can see Agger going, which will be a real shame imo.

I fear that we might have but just don't know!......the law of averages tells us that a couple of the signings won't work out....However, am also quite excited about how everything will slot into place. More so than any pre-season for a long time. <ok>

Only if he turns out to be dog****.

Last year we were missing more than anything a defender that sorts everyone out, leads by example and is vocal and a calming influence. If he turns out to be that player (and he is a very good CB) then no one will talking about the fee
