Jeez. That thread bombed. Explanation. I made the big mistake of following the instructions. The picture appeared on my review but slipped off once posted. I sent a PM to Channonfodder who couldn't see what I'd done wrong so so rang my techie son-in-law. "It's your ISP". At his suggestion on I am using a "patch" to make my computer appear to be using my French ISP, as we are currently touring Eastern Europe. (Don't worry, FLT, Fran and other fellow technophobes - I don't understand that sentence either) This has proven highly successful except when posting an attachment on not606. The missing attachment has probably gone viral (or whatever) by now. It was posted within minutes of signing Pelle. It is a mocked up photo of Pele holding a Saints shirt bearing his name, with the caption "Desperate Saints sign ageing South American stars". Like most Scouse humour it is the timing that makes it funny, and it now sounds as funny as ... well something very unfunny. So to those who were deeply offended by my IT incompetence, I can only apologise. Goes to show what a slow news time it is!
I advise not using this site's function for adding attachments to posts. You're better off uploading the pic to an image hosting website then just posting the URL.
Good for you. Neither do I. Suffice to say I was sent a picture of Pele (as in football icon, accept no substitute) holding up what looked suspiciously like a new Saints shirt bearing his name. On closer inspection it is actually a Sheff Utd shirt so was presumably a pubicity photo put out by the Blades. A scouse mate sent it to me, complete with vaguely amusing caption (see above) and I tried to post it here. I promise never to do so again and will now lock myself in a darkened room until everyone forgets the whole sorry episode.
